AUDITOR'S REPORT
In auditing the town accounts for the year 1943 I examined the books of the tax collector and town treasurer, comparing the collections to the amount turned over to the treasurer together with the tax titles and abatements granted by the assessors.
To verify the outstanding accounts, notices were sent to persons whose names appeared on the books as owing money to the town.
The treasurer's books were examined, comparing revenue to expenditures and balances, and checked in reference with duplicate statements issued to me from state, county, and local agencies.
Respectfully submitted WARREN M. IDE, Town Auditor.
