Fees to accompany : the application; to be refunded if permit is not . granted."


Article 125. To see if the Town will vote to amend Section 7, Article 5 of the By-Laws, so that · said section as amended will read as follows :- "No personal property of the town shall be sold by an of- ficer or board unless by vote of the Town or by the joint authorization of the Selectmen and of the Chair- man of the Finance Committee, except that if its in- itial cost or value was $200.00 or less, it may be sold by the authorization of the Selectmen; such authori- zation shall in each case (a) be in writing, (b) certify - that the proposed selling price is fair, and (c) be filed "with the Town Accountant."

The Annual Town Meeting was called to order at 7:45 o'clock P. M. by the Moderator, William F. Rogers.


Article 1. Voted to elect 3 Measurers of Wood and Weighers of Hay. : .. . :

Voted to elect 3 Measurers. of Lumber.

Voted to instruct the Selectmen to appoint One Pound Keeper, Three Field Drivers and Three Fence Viewers.


Article 2. Voted that the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen be, and hereby is autho- rized to borrow money from time to time in anticipa- tion of the revenues of the financial year beginning January 1, 1926 and to issue a note or notes therefor payable within one year.


Any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revnue of said financial year.


Article 3. Voted, that the Town Treasurer be, and is hereby made custodian of all moneys of the

several Departments of the Town; the Board of Water Commissioners are hereby instructed to elect the Town Treasurer, Treasurer of the Water Department; the Selectmen are hereby instructed to require from the Treasurer such a bond as in their judgment is necessary for the safety of such moneys; that the Treasurer be held harmless on his bond from any loss caused by the failure of any National Bank or Trust Company in which the funds of the Town may be on deposit with the approval of the Selectmen.


Article 4. Voted, that the Tax Collector be held harmless on his bond from any loss caused by the fail- ure of any National Bank or Trust Company in which the funds of the Town may be on deposit with the approval of the Selectmen.


Article 5. The Finance Committee presented their report and recommendations in print.
