The Annual Town Meeting was called to order at 7.50 P. M. by Moderator, William F. Rogers. Voters checked.
Article 1. Voted to elect seven Trustees of Braintree School Fund for a term of three years. Arthur L. Hale, William H. Heath, Henry F. Arnold, John W. Harding, Otis B. Oakman, George A. Walker and William D. Aitken elected.
Voted to elect three Measurers of Wood and Weighers of Hay. Charles G. Sheppard, Wilford F. Woodsum and R. Allen Gage elected.
Article 2. Voted that the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to

borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1931, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year. Any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of said financial year.
Article 3. Voted that the Town Treasurer be and is hereby made custodian of all moneys of the several Departments of the Town. The Board of Water Com- missioners are hereby instructed to elect the Treasurer of the Town, Treasurer of the Water Department. The Electric Light Commissioners are hereby instructed to elect the Town Treasurer, Treasurer of the Electric Light Department. The Selectmen are hereby instructed to require from the Treasurer such a bond as in their judg- ment is necessary for the safety of such moneys ; that the Treasurer be held harmless on his bond from any loss caused by the failure of any National Bank or Trust Com- pany in which the funds of the Town may be on deposit, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen.
Article 4. Voted that the Tax Collector be held harm- less on his bond from any loss caused by the failure of any National Bank or Trust Company in which the funds of the Town may be on deposit, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen.
Article 5. Voted on motion of Mr. Anderson that this Article be taken up in conjunction with the other articles in the warrant.

Mr. Anderson offered the following resolution: That the Park Commissioners be instructed to move the old building known as the "Old Barn" on Watson Playground without any expense to the Town. Carried-9.59.
Article 14 .- Motion of Mr. Vinton to raise and appro- priate $200 to enlarge the artificial pond adjoining Little Pond, and to construct a hockey rink thereon; also to raise and appropriate $75 a year for maintenance of same-Carried 10.08.
Moderator questioned the legality of the appropriation.
Motion of Mr. Bryant that the Hockey Rink be in charge of the Water Department-Carried 10.10.

WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
Norfolk, ss. To either of the Constables of the Town of Braintree. Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabi- tants of the Town of Braintree, qualified to vote in Town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall, in said Braintree.
On Monday, the twenty-third day of March, 1931, at eight o'clock in the evening, to act on the following article, namely :
Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate sums of money for the purpose of construct- ing new school buildings and/or additions to existing buildings and for the original equipment and furnishing of the same, and to authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow all or any part of said sums in accordance with provisions of any general or special acts authorizing the Town to borrow for such purposes, or take any action relative thereto.
You are directed to serve this Warrant by posting true and attested copies thereof in three public placs in each voting Precinct in said Town of Braintree ten days at least before said twenty-third day of March, 1931, and by publishing the same once each week for two successive weeks in the Braintree Observer, first publication to be at least eight days before said meeting.
Hereof, fail not, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk before said meeting.
