Under Article 2, the Moderator appointed Walter Perham and Fred E. Varney as Tellers and they were duly sworn by the Town Clerk. After a motion to dismiss the article was lost, it was voted that the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Overseers of the Poor hereafter to be elected shall each consist of only three members, 153 voted in favor and 65 opposed. Under this article it was voted that at the next annual meeting one selectman be elected for the term of one year, one for the term of two years, and one for the term of three years, and that at each annual meeting thereafter one be elected for the term of three years.


Under Article 3, voted that the Town at its next Annual Town Meeting elect a Board of Overseers of the Poor to consist of three members, 129 voted in favor and 17 opposed. Under this article it was voted that at the next annual meeting one Overseer of the Poor be elected for the term of one year, one for the term of two years, and one for the term of three years, and that at each annual meeting thereafter one be elected for the term of three years.

Under Article 4, voted that the number of constables to be elected at the next annual meeting and at each subsequent town meeting unril further action of the Town, be reduced from seven to one.


At 9.25 p. m. voted to dissolve the meeting.
