ARTICLE 27. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account or some other account the sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars to the "Prosecution and Defense of Law Suits and Other Expenses Account"; or act in relation thereto.

AND YOU ARE DIRECTED to serve this Warrant by posting at- tested copies thereof at the Post Offices in the Center of the Town, South Chelmsford, North Chelmsford, and West Chelmsford and at the School House in East Chelmsford and the Westlands School House, seven days at least before the time appointed for the holding of this meeting aforesaid.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING Monday Evening, November 9, 1953
A Special Town Meeting was held in the High School Auditorium on November 9th, 1953 at 8 P.M. The following business was transacted :
The Moderator called the meeting to order at 8 P. M. and appointed as tellers, Mr. Vernon Morris and Mr. William Picken, the tellers took a count of the voters present for the purpose of determining as to whether or not a quorum of 200 was presnt, the count returned by the tellers was 132, there not being the required number of voters present to hold a meeting, the meeting was adjourned at 8:06 P. M.
