Mrs. Viola G. Wilson Town Clerk

Saugus, Mass.

Dear Mrs. Wilson:

It is with regrets that I must inform you of my resignation as a member of the Board of Public Welfare, the same to be effective as of October 15, 1947.

I had hoped to be present at the special town meeting, previously scheduled for Oct. 6th, in order to defend the board's request for additional funds to carry on for the remainder of the year. Inasmuch as the person with the ideas of a self appointed dictator has seen fit to be as disagreeable as usual, thereby making it necessary to postpone the meeting, it will be impossible for me to be present due to other business which takes me out of the town and state.

Please be assured that it has been a pleasure to work with the group of fair minded and honest officials, such as yourself, the past years and the memory will linger for a long, long time.

Very truly yours, GUSTAVE A. ANDERSON, 9 Norman Rd. Saugus, Mass.
