Anna Parker Playground:

As Traffic Engineer, the Town Engineer submitted Annual Reports to the Traffic Institute and to the State Highway Department regarding the safety of the Town's roads and other pertinent data.


Because the department was unable to obtain certified permanent en- gineers to fill some of these positions, temporary summer and part-time appointments were made resulting in the engineering personnel being ac- tively employed for a net amount of 11,561.21 man hours during 1955. Al- though the total number of engineers employed throughout the year at dif- ferent periods varied from 5 to 9, the average number, based on the total net hours worked, was 5.9 men.
