Art. 79. Voted: That no action be taken under this article.

Beginning at a point on the northerly side line of Hillside Avenue, distant two hundred ninety-five and 98-100 (295.98) feet northeasterly from a stone bound at the intersection of said north- erly side line of said Hillside Avenue with the easterly side line of Middle Street; thence running in a northeasterly direction by a tangent curve to the left with a radius of twenty (20) feet, a dis- tance of tweny-four and 73-100 (24.73) feet; thence running

northerly by a tangent curve a distance of one hundred fifty-nine and 30-100 (159.30) feet to land of the town of Weymouth; thence running in a southeasterly direction by said land of the town of Weymouth a distance of forty-two and 39-100 (42.39) feet; thence running in a southerly direction by a line parallel with and distant forty (40), feet easterly from the second describ- ed line, a distance of one hundred fifty-five and 70-100 (155.70) feet to a point of curvature; thence running in a general south- earterly direction by a tangent curve to the left, with a radius of twenty-two and 97-100 (22.97) feet to said side line of Hillside Avenue; thence running northwesterly by said side line of Hill- side Avenue a distance of forty-four and 64-100 (44.64) feet to a stone bound marking the angle point in said line of Hillside Avenue; thence running southwesterly still by said side line of Hillside Avenue a distance of twenty-five and 96-100 (25.96) feet to the point of beginning. Containing 6782 square feet more or less.
The above described parcel of land is bounded: Northerly by land of the town of Weymouth; Easterly by land of Francis W. Cowing; Southerly by said Hillside Avenue and Westerly by other land of said Francis W. Cowing.
The land purporting to be owned by said Francis W. Cowing. For a further identification of this description and location reference is hereby made to a "Plan of land in Weymouth, Mass., made by Russell H. Whiting, Civil Engineer, dated Feb. 24, 1926." And be it further voted: That the sum of $100 be raised and appropriated for the purposes of this article.
Art. 95. Voted: To raise and appropriate the sum of $912.50 for the payment of pensions.
Art. 96. Voted: That the Moderator appoint the present committee acting on his matter (reforestation) they to report at some future meeting.

WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
NORFOLK, ss.
To the constables of the Town of Weymouth in said County, GREETINGS :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Weymouth aforesaid who are qualified to vote in Town affairs to meet at the Hall of the Weymouth High School on
MONDAY, THE SEVENTH DAY OF JUNE, 1926
at seven o'clock and thirty minutes in the evening, than and there to act upon the following articles,
Article 1. On Petition to see if the Town will vote to appro- priate or raise and appropriate such sum of money as may be neces- sary and to authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Se- lectmen to borrow such further sums for the purpose of carrying out decree No. 608 of the County Commissioners in regard to the wid- ening and relocation of Commercial Street, Washington Square, or act in any manner in relation thereto.
Article 2. To see what additional sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the celebration of the 4th of July, 1926 being the 150th anniversary of the Independence of the United States, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 3. On petition. To see if the Town will vote to accept the report of the Selectmen upon the laying out as a public way that portion of Beals Street from the end of the present layout to Norton Street or take any other action in relation thereto.
Article 4. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to complete the working of May Terrace.
Article 6. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for land for a new school house in the Pond District (so called) or take any other action in relation theerto.
Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate from the general fund of the Water Department, the sum of $3000 for re- placing and relocating mains, hydrants and services.
Article 8. To see if the Town will authorize the issuance of not to exceed $15,000. in Bonds or Notes, for the construction of water mains of six inches or more in diameter, said Bonds or Notes to be payable within fifteen years of the date of issue and in accordance with Section 19 of Chapter 44 of the General Laws.
Article 9. To see if the Town will authorize the issuance of not to exceed $10,000. in Bonds or Notes, for the installation of a standby pumping unit at Great Pond, said Bonds or Notes to be payable within five years of the date of issue and in accordance with Section 19 of Chapter 44 of the General Laws.
Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate the sum of $640. for the Fire Department.
Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate a sufficient su mof money to purchase a Ladder Truck for the Fire Department or take any other action in relation thereto.

Article 12. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the payment of unpaid bills.
Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate the sum of eight hundred dollars to install catch basins and drains on Pond Street, South Weymouth to carry off surface water or take any other action in relation thereto.
Article 14. On petition to see if the Town will accept the re- port of the Selectmen on the relocation of Pleasant Street on the westerly side north of Lovell's Corner or take any other action in relation thereto.
Article 15. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for working the above street.
Article 16. On petition to see if the Town will vote to pur- chase, or take by right of eminent domain for Park purposes the property known as the Weston property located between Broad and Front Street on the south, Front Street on the west, Washington Street on the east, homesead property of Annie B. Weston on the North, or take any other action relative thereto.
Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate a sufficient sum of money to purchase the above land.
Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate a sufficient sum of money for a new tractor for the Street Department or take any action in relation thereto.
You are directed to serve this warrant by posting a copy there- of, attested by you in writing in each of two public places in each voting precinct in said Town, seven days at least before the time for holding said meeting called for in this warrant.
Hereof, fail not, make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk of said Town, on or before the first day of June, 1926.

Weymouth, Mass., June 7, 1926
A special meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Weymouth, represented by the Town Meeting Members, was held at the hall of the Weymouth High School, East Weymouth, Monday, June 7, 1926, the meeting was called under a warrant duly signed by the Select- men, attested and posted by Arthur H. Pratt, Constable of said town, and a return of service made by him to the Town Clerk according to law.
The meeting was called 'to order at seven forty o'clock in the evening and the call for the meeting was read by the Town Clerk.
As the Annual Moderator was absent, Frank H. Torrey moved that Emerson R. Dizer cast one ballot bearing the name of John F. Dwyer as Moderator pro-tem, he was declared elected, Mr. Dwyer was sworn to the faithful performance of that duty by the Town Clerk.
The Moderator requested the Town Clerk to read the warrant, Melville F. Cate moved and it was so voted: That the reading of the articles in the warrant be omitted, the Town Clerk than read the last paragraph and the return of the Constable who served the war- rant.
Before proceeding to the business of the meeting the following were sworn as Town Meeting Members.

Art. 1. Voted unanimously: That the town raise and ap- propriate the sum of ten thousand dollars and raise by loan and appropriate a further sum of thirty thousand and seven hundred dollars for the widening of Washington Square, Weymouth and highway in vicinity thereof, in accordance with the laying out, al- teration and widening of said square, and highway by the County Commssioners and for the payment of and damages accrued or ac-

cruing by reason thereof and the cost of pavement laid and side- walks constructed thereon.
And that the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Select- men be and hereby is authorized to borrow a sum not to exceed thirty thousand seven hundred dollars and to isue bonds or notes of the town therefor, said bonds or notes to be payable in acordance with Section 19 of Chapter 44 of the General Laws and Acts in amendment thereof, so that the whole of said loan shall be due and payable in not more than ten years from the date of the issue of the first bond or note, or at such earlier dates as the Treasurer and Selectmen may determine. And be it further voted that two thou- sand dollars of said ten thousand dollars be used toward defraying the cost to the town of rearranging and improving of street lighting and service at said Washington Square and highways in vicinity thereof.
Before proceeding to the vote on this question, the Moderator appointed Thomas F. Leary and Edward A. Hunt as tellers, they were sworn as such by the Moderator. They reported 114 voted in favor and none against.
Art. 2. Voted unanimously: To raise and appropriate the sum of $3,000., three thousand dollars additional for the celebration of the Fourth of July, 1926, that being the 150th Anniversary of the Inde- pendence of the United States.
Art. 3. Voted: That the subject matter of this article be in- definitely postponed.
Art. 4. Voted: That no action be taken under this article.
Art. 5. Voted: To raise and appropriate the sum of Eight hun- dred ($800) dollars to complete the working of May Terrace.
Art. 6. Voted unanimously : That the Selectmen be and here- by are authorized to purchase or take by the right of eminent do- main such parcel of land as may be approved by the School Com- mittee for a new school house in the Pond Plain district, and that the appropriation made at the last annual meeting be reappropriated for this purpose. (See art. 25 annual meeting 1925.)
Art. 7. 'Voted unanimously: That the sum of fifteen thou- sand dollars ($15,000.) be raised by loan and appropriated for the construction of water mains of six inches or more in diameter, and that the Treasurer of the town be and hereby is authorized, with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow said sumn of fifteen thou- sand dollars ($15,000.) for said purpose, and to issue bonds or notes of the town therefor, said bonds or notes to be payable in accord- ance with the provisions of Section 19, Chapter 44 of the General Laws, so that the whole shall be paid in not more than fifteen (15) years.
The tellers reported 128 voted in favor and none against.
Art. 9. Voted unanimously: That the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.) be raised by loan and appropriated for the installa- tion of a standby pumping unit at Great Pond, and that the Trea- surer of the town be and hereby is authorized, with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow said sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.) for said purpose, and to issue bonds or notes of the town therefor, said bonds or notes to be payable in accordance with the provisions of Section 19, Chapter 44 of the General laws, so that the whole of said loan shall be payable in not more than fifteen (15) years.
