To see if the Town will vote to purchase, take by eminent domain, or otherwise acquire, for highway purposes, a fifty foot strip on the westerly side of land now or formerly of Joseph Perrone and Rosalie Per- rone as tenants by the entirety, and of Michael Nista and Matteo Perrone, said strip running from the easterly end of Shawmut Avenue to the South- erly side of the parking area at Jackson Square, and being a portion of Lot No. 37, Block N. 304, Sheet 23 of the Town of Weymouth Atlas (1951), and raise and appropriate a sufficient sum to surface and condition the same as a highway, or take any other action with relation thereto.
ARTICLE 14. (On Petition and by Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will accept the extension of Gibbons through to Commercial Street, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 15. (At Request of the Appropriation Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the working of streets accepted at prior Town Meetings, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 16. (At Request of Town Employee's Labor Union and by Direction of Selectmen.) To see what action the Town will take relative to the granting of time and one-half pay for after 40 hours for members of the Street Department, or take any other action in relation thereof. ?
ARTICLE 17. (On Petition of Marguerite H. D'Amico, 16 Pilgrim Road, and cthers.) To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money for the installation of a sidewalk, starting from 18 Pilgrim Road and up around the corner to connect with the sidewalk on North Street, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 18. (On Petition of Mr. John Nisbet, 64 Bluff Road, and others.) To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of $50,000 for the construction of sidewalks to be equally distributed by the Board of Select- men, or take any other action in relation thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sufficient sum of money for the drainage of Christine Terrace, Francis Road, Summer Street, Coolidge and Wilson Avenues and in the vicinity of 31 Essex Street, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 20. (On Petition of Residents of Francis Road.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate sufficient funds to install drainage on Francis Road thence to Gilbert Road to Middle Street, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 21. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to reconstruct, re- surface, widen, straighten, relocate or work
Commercial Street and/or Middle Street
or any portion of said way and for the building of any bridges, drains and conduits, or securing easements which may be necessary in connection therewith; and to see whether the Town will authorize the Board of Select - men to accept deeds of any reservation strips existing in connection with said street, provided the state, or county, or both, will appropriate a sum of money to help defray the expenses of such work; and transfer from the surplus funds that the Town must have, the county and state share of said cost, the amount of this transfer on reimbursement to be credited to the account from which it came; and will authorize the Board of Select- men to acquire by gift, purchase or take by right of eminent domain in fee or otherwise for all purposes of a public street and highway in and over said street such property as may be necessary, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ZONING
ARTICLE 22. (By Direction of the Re-Zoning Committee.) To see if the Town will vote to revise, amend and/or add to the zoning by-laws as follows or take any other action in relation thereto:
ARTICLE X CHANGES OF DISTRICTS Residential to Industrial
A. The area commencing at the present industrial district at the junction of Bridge Street and Back River, thence extending from the northerly side of the present business district on Bridge Street to the property line of the land now or formerly of Howard D. Johnson, Inc. Thence northerly to Back River, thence along the shore line of Back River to the present Industrial District.
B. Beginning at a point 500 feet southerly of No. 225 Broad Street, thence running easterly parallel with Broad Street to the precinct line of two and three, thence running southerly along the precinct line to the present line of the limited business district, thence running westerly approximately 900 feet thence northerly to the present Industrial Area.
C. Beginning at the northwesterly boundary of the present Industrial area along the Old Colony Railroad off Randolph Street and running in a northwesterly direction a width of approximately 500 feet on either side of the Old Colony Railroad to Columbian Street.

D. Beginning at the property line of Harry E. Johnson and Bonnie L. Johnson at approximately 186 East Street and running northeasterly along property line of Harry E. Johnson and Bonnie L. Johnson to the rear property line of Harry E. Johnson, thence easterly to Friend Street, thence northeasterly along property line of Theodore Gardiner, Fred- erick T. Gardiner, Kenneth D. The area starting at the rear of 643 Bridge Street and running in a northerly direction along the rear property line of Mary J. Davison, William A. Davison, Sebastiana DiMaura, to the Naval Magazine, Reser- vation, thence westerly to the present business area, thence scutherly along the present business area line to the point of beginning.
Residential to Limited Business
The area commencing at the present business district line at 660 Bridge Street and running westerly along Neck Street to the property line of Thomas G. DiMaura, Dutchland Farms Corporation, and Bradley Park Development, Inc. and Back River.
Business and Residential to Industrial
Commencing at the junction of High and Commercial Streets and run- ning in a northerly direction on the easterly side of Commercial Street at a depth of approximately 300 feet to the present Industrial Area at the rear of 1628 Commercial Street .

ARTICLE 23. (On Petition of George E. Lane and others.) To see if the Town will amend its By-laws by striking out Item 4 of Section VI of Article X of the Zoning by-laws and inserting in place thereof the fol- lowing: ('Article X, Section VI, Item 4;
Lot Size. In a residence district no dwelling shall be erected or maintained except on lots containing 15,000 square feet each and having a frontage of not less than 150 feet at the building line and not more than one dwell- ing shall be erected on each such lot except that (a) a lot of less than 25,000 square feet and more than 20,000 square feet may be divided into lots containing not less than 10,000 square feet each and having a front- age of not less than 100 feet at the building line and (b) if a lot con- tains more than 25,000 square feet and if after division into as many 15,000 square feet lots as practicable, there remains a lot of 10,000 square feet or more and one dwelling may be erected on such remaining lot pro- vided the same has a frontage of not less than 100 feet. One dwelling may be erected on a lot containing less than 15,000 square feet or having a frontage of less than 100 feet if such lot was recorded at the time of this by-law, either if separately owned and contains 3200 square feet and did not at the time of such adoption adjoin other land of the same owner available for use in connection with said lot. Any recorded lot size may be increased subject to approval of the Board of Appeals, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 24. (On Petition of Zarven Alemian, 508 East Street and others.) To see if the Town will revise its Zoning Laws as follows:
Change of Districts
The business zone extending from the corner of Green and North Streets on the easterly side to and including the property of the Weymouth Heights Club shall extend an additional 100 feet, or take any other action in re- iation thereto.
PROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY
ARTICLE 25. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of $5,000.00 to extend the existing sea wall in North Weymouth about 300 feet just east of Parnell Street, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 26. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see what sum of money the Town will raise and appropriate to extend the sea wall from its present location on Fort Point Road to a point 750 feet easterly tc Riverview Place or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 27. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to amend the By-Laws of the Town, by adding under Article VI the following :
Section 628
(a) No motor boat shall be operated upon Whitman's Pond, lying within the Town, in a manner which endangers the safety of the public or is detrimental or injurious to the neighborhood or to the value of property therein.
(b) It shall be evidence of the violation of this by-law if such motor boat is operated by a motor not having underwater exhaust cr in a noisy or obnoxious manner, or at any unreasonable rate of speed, or without slowing down and exercising due caution while approaching and passing persons bathing or any other water craft.
(c) Any person violating any provision of this by-law shall be sub- ject to a fine not exceeding twenty (20) dolllars for each offense.
ARTICLE 28. (By Request of Tree Warden.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for its share in the South Shore Mosquito Control District or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 29. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the purpose of main- taining during the ensuing year, the mosquito control works as estimated and certified to by the State Reclamation Board in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 112, Acts of 1931.
ARTICLE 30 (By Request of Tree Warden.) That the sum of $11,000.00 be raised and apropriated for Dutch Elm Disease Control work or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 31. (At Request of Tree Warden.) To see what provision the Town will make toward providing an area for the disposal of Dutch Elm wood or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 32. (At Request of Weymouth Housing Authority.) To see if the Town will empower the Weymouth Housing Authority to erect a new housing project in the Town of Weymouth to provide for the housing of elderly persons of low income under the provisions of Chapter 663 Ji the Acts of 1953.
ARTICLE 33. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to accept Chapter 239 Acts of 1952 (an act authorizing towns to ap- propriate money for the payment of premiums for Group Life Insurance for its permanent employees), or take any other action in relation theretu.
ARTICLE 34. (At Request of Veterans of Foreign Wars.) To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Board of Selectmen to contract with Wessagusset Post, No. 1:99, of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States for the care and maintenance of Old Cemeteries, off Park Avenue; Old Cemetery, opposite Fairmount Cemetery on Pleasant Street; one located cff Randolph Street; Old Cemetery, off Pleasant Street, near Pine Street; and Ashwood Cemetery on Broad Street, and raise and ap- propriate the sum of $475.00 for this purpose, or take any other action in relation thereto.
VETERANS
ARTICLE 35. (At Request of American Legion Post No. 79.) To see what sum of money the Town will raise and appropriate for the ob- servance cf Armistice Day, to be expended under the direction cf said Weymouth Post No. 79 American Legion, Inc., or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 36. (On Petition of Residents of Weymouth Heights.) To see if the Town will vote to dedicate square at the corner of Church and North Streets in honor of Pfc. William C. Shores, U. S. M. C. who was killed on a Korean battlefield, on October 26, 19.2, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 37. (At Request of School Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and appro- priate for the use of a Committee to be appointed by the Moderator, in planning a memorial tablet or tablets providing for the names of World War II Veterans, to be attached to the west side of the existing permanent brick memorial wall located on the high school grounds, or take any other action in relation thereto.
EDUCATION
ARTICLE 38. (At Request of Building Committee.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of constructing and originally equipping and furnishing an elementary school off Academy Avenue, and to determine whether the money shall be raised by taxation or otherwise and by borrowing under authority of Chapter 645 of the Acts of 1948 as amended; or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 39. (At Request of School Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and ap- propriate for the purpose of acquiring by gift, purchase, or eminent do- main in fee, part of Lot 30, Block 457, Sheets 37 and 41, as appear in the Atlas of the Town of Weymouth for the year 1951 (Stetson Shoe Company Land, southwest of factory) containing about 515,000 square feet, as the sight for an elementary schol, to replace the Shaw School or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 40. (At Request of Trustees of Tufts Library.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise and appropriate for the construction of a Branch Library at North Weymutn, and for the purchase of necessary furniture and equipment for said build- ing, or take any other action in relation thereto.
RECREATION
ARTICLE 41. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vrte to raise and appropriate a sum of money to complete fence surround- ing the playground off Century Road, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 42. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift for park or playground purposes certain property now owned by Mrs. Robert S. Hoff- man, being shown as Lots 12 and 23, Block 299. Sheet 22, (Lot 12 contains 11,300 square feet and Lot 23 contains 281,600 square feet) all as shown in Atlas of the Town of Weymouth 1951, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 43. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see what sum of money the Town will appropriate to take by eminent domain in fee, pur- chase, or gift, Let 5, Block 109, Sheet 8, (corner of Neck and Green Street) of the 1951 Town of Weymouth Atlas for park purposes, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 44. (At Request of Weymouth Manor Association.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to pur- chase or take bv eminent domain in fee, a certain parcel of land in the Town of Weymouth for the purpose of creating a public recreational area including provisions for ice skating; said land located on the southerly side of Federal Street, beginning at number 33 Federal Street and ex- tending westerly approximately 150 feet, with a depth of approximately 256 feet and having approximately 256 feet across the back at its greatest measurement or to take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICI E 45. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will accept a gift of land from Louis Pasqualucci & Son, Inc., situated in North Weymouth for park purposes, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 46. ((At Request of Resident of the Greenbriar Area.) To see what action will be taken with reference to the purchase of or taking by eminent domain land described as Lot 15, Block No. 120 as listed on; Sheet 11 of the Plot Plan of the Town of Weymouth for the purpose of establishing a playground area for the Greenbriar section of North Wey- mouth.
ARTICLE 47. (By Request of the Park Commissioners.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate for the con- struction of a playground on the land given to the Town of Weymouth by George A. Pasqualucci and John Durante located in the Greenbriar Section of North Weymouth.
ARTICLE 48. (By Request of the Park Department.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, a sum of money for the further development of the playground at Idlewell, or take any other action in relation thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to accept the area at the intersection of Petrell Park and Bel- mont Street from the present owners and to repair said area and trans- fer this area to the supervision of the Park Department, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 52. (At Request of Weymouth Youth Commission.) To see if the Town will vote to create a Park and Recreation Commission in accordance with Chapter 45, Section 14 of the General Laws of Massachu- setts or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 53. (At Request of Weymouth Youth Commission.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to be expended under the direction of the Park and Recreation Commission or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 54. (At Request of Weymouth Youth Commission.) To see if the Town will accept the First report of Weymouth Youth Com- mission on Recreation in Weymouth, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 55. (At Request of Planning Board.) To see if the Town will take by eminent domain in fee, purchase, or gift, the land at the south- east corner of Neck and Green Streets at the junction of Bridge Street. for park purposes, or take any other action in relation thereto.
SEWER
ARTICLE 56. (At Request of Building Committee.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by taxation or otherwise, and ap- propriate, for the construction of a sewer line under the supervision of the Board of Sewer Commissioners from Essex Street by way of Broad Street, Broad Street Place, and the right of way to the proposed Academy Avenue School, or otherwise, a distance of 2,300 feet, more or less, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 57. (At Request of Sewer Commissioners.) To see if the Town will vete to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the construc- tion of particular sewers and determine whether the money shall be pro- vided for by taxation, by appropriation from available funds including sewer assessment funds, and by borrowing under authority of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 58. (At Request of Sewer Commissioners.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the construc- tion of common sewers and determine whether the money shall be pro- vided for by taxation, by appropriation from available funds including sewer assessment funds, and by borrowing under authority of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, or take any other action in relation thereto.

PARKING AREAS
ARTICLE 60. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of $3,500.00 for construction of a parking area for Town Hall Annex, 402 Essex Street, in accordance with plan submitted by Andrew A. Chisholm, dated December 15, 1953, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 61. (By Request of Pond Plain Improvement Association .; To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the suin of one thousand ($1,000) dollars for the purpose of grading and installing pene- tration material on new parking area abutting westerly line of NYNHRR property at South Weymouth Passenger Station, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 62. (On Petition of the Smelt Brook Merchants Associa- tion.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate for the purpose of acquiring by purchase for an entrance to the public parking area, the following described land, namely: A certain parcel of land in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, now or formerly of Seward W. Taber, and being shown as Lot A on a plan entitled "Plan of Land in Weymouth, Mass., dated November 6, 1953, Russell H. Whiting, C. E." and containing about 3100 square feet of land, according to said plan, to which plan reference may be had for a more particular descrip. tion, and that the Board of Selectmen are hereby authorized to acquire by purchase said land, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 63. (At Request of South Weymouth Business Associa- tion.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sufficient sum of money for the installation of pedestrian islands in the parking area being deveoped in Columbian Square and for the proper lighting of the area.
ARTICLE 64. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will raise or appropriate the sum of $4,300.00 to adequately light off Street Parking Areas, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 65. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of $4,300.00 for the installation of thirty-eight flood-lights, thirteen steel poles, underground wiring, time clocks, etc. for the remaining four parking areas in the Town, or take any other action in relation thereto.
WATER
ARTICLE 66. (On Petition of Board of Water Commissioners.) To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise by borrowing or other- wise and appropriate for the installation of water mains of not less than six inches in diameter, or take any other action in relation thereto.
