ARTICLE 68. (At Request of the Weymouth Police Association.) To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of $3,500.00 to pur- chase uniforms for the permanent members of the Police Department This sum to be allocated as follows: $75.00 to be allowed each permanent officer of the Department for uniforms, and further that there be in- cluded in each future budget of the Police Department an allowance of $75.00 for each permanent Police Officer to be used for the purchase and replacement of uniforms as needed, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 78. (At Request of Harry Christensen and Others.) To see if the Town will vote to amend the present vacation plan for all regu- lar town employees under the Wage and Classification Plan or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 79. (At Request of Town Clerk Harry Christensen.) To see if the Town will instruct the Moderater to appoint a Committee of five (5) to make a study relative to voting machines and report to the next Annual own Meeting, or take any other action in relation thereto.

To see if the Town will vote to abandon all its right, title and interest in and to that portion of Clapp Avenue, a town way laid out in the year 1881, which lies within the boundaries of the land shown as Lots 34 and 35, Block 273 on Sheet 20 of the Town of Weymouth Atlas, and also shown as Lots 27 and 23 on a certain plan entitled "Plan of Land in Weymouth, Mass." dated October 31, 1952. Russell H. Whiting, Registered Land Surveyor, filed in the Land Court as Plan No. 21139A, or take any other action in relation thereto.
ARTICLE 83. (By Direction of Selectmen.) To see if the Town will accept a gift of an ambulance from the Weymouth Servicemen's Hcme coming Committee and to appropriate a sum sufficient to properly main- tain said ambulance for the ensuing year, or take any other action in re- lation thereto.
ARTICLE 84. (At Request of Personnel Board.) To see if the Town will vote to amend Section 4 of Section 409 of the Town By-Laws as fol-

lows: The membership of the Personnel Board shall be increased to five (5) by the Moderator appointing two additional citizens and registered voters, one shall be appointed for a period of two years, and one for a period of three years, and thereafter as their terms expire for a period of three years.
ARTICLE 85. (At Requests of Personnel Board.)
(1) To see if the Town will vote to change the classification for clerk in Registrar's office from S-2 to S-3.
(2) Vote to increase the maximum of PF-1-1 from $3924.00 to $4050.00
(3) Vote to establish classification PF-1-2 with salary range identical with that of S-7 to cover Fireman Master Mechanic.
(4) Vote to change the Tree Warden's classification from S-7 to S-8, or take any other action in relation thereto.

ANNUAL AND ADJOURNED TOWN MEETING March 1 and 3, 1954
ANNUAL TOWN MEETING March 1, 1954
Pursuant to a Warrant duly issued, the Annual Town Meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of Weymouth, represented by their duly elected and qualified Town Meeting Members, was held in the hall of the Wey- mouth High School on Monday, March 1, 1954.
The Meeting was called to order at 7:45 o'clock in the evening by the Annual Moderator, Mr. Daniel L. O'Donnell.
The Town Clerk, Mr. Harry Christensen, read the call of the Meeting.
There were 234 Town Meeting Members present.
Upon motion duly made, it was unanimously
VOTED: That the reading of the Articles in the Warrant be sus- pended.
Prayer for Divine Guidance at this Town Meeting was offered by the Rev. Earl K. Sweatland, Pastor of the First Church of Weymouth, Wey- mouth Heights.
Town Meeting Members not sworn in were administered the oath by the Moderator.
The Moderator recognized the presence of a group of students from the Attleboro school system.
The Moderator declared a quorum present.
We now continue with consideration of the Articles in the Warrant.
ARTICLE 1. To see what sums of money the Town will vote to ralse or borrow and appropriate for the salaries, operation and expenses during the current fiscal year of each of the following Town Departments and activities, necessary charges, and for unpaid bills of prior years.
Upon motion duly made by the Appropriation Committee, it was unan- imously
VOTED: To provide for all expenses or maintenance and operation of each of the Town's several departments and activities for the fiscal year, for certain improvements, and to meet certain requirements of the law for the several sums hereinafter set forth are hereby appropriated for the several purposes and subject to the conditions specified, all such sums to be raised by taxation in the levy of the current year unless some other source of revenue is expressed. All increases in salaries and wges shall be retroactive to January 1, 1954 in accordance with Section 108, Chapter 41 of the General Laws.

The sum of $4,624.00 is appropriated under this item for salary as town clerk, the sum of $400.00 is appropriated under Article 1, Item 10 for salary as Clerk of the Board of Registrars and the sum of $800.00 is estimated as the fees which may be retained by the Town Clerk, under the provisions of the statutes, thus making the total salary $5,824.00. The sum of $150.00 is pro- vided in the total for travel outside the Commonwealth.
