ARTICLE 3. To hear the report of the Selectmen and other town officers and act thereon.

ARTICLE 5. To see if the town will authorize its Overseers of the Poor to contract at their discretion for the support of the town's poor, or act thereon.


ARTICLE 6. To see if the town will authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow dur- ing the financial year beginning January 1, 1917, in anticipation of the collection of revenue of said year, such sums of money as may be necessary for the current expenses of the town, but not exceeding the limit fixed by law, giving the note or notes of the town therefor, payable within one year from the dates thereof, and to renew such note or notes as may be given for a less period than one year, provided the limit of one year is not exceeded thereby. All debts incurred under this authority shall be paid from the revenue of the then current year.


ARTICLE 7. To hear the report of any committee heretofore chosen, or act thereon.


ARTICLE 8. Will the town authorize the Selectmen to prose- cute, compromise or defend any suit or suits within the Com- monwealth in the name of the town, or act thereon.


ARTICLE 9. Will the town determine the way and manner in which its taxes shall be collected the present year, or act thereon.


ARTICLE 10 Will the town raise and appropriate the sum of $2500 to macadamize and widen Grove Street from High Street, as far in a northerly direction as the appropriation will allow, or act thereon. Edna P. Elliott, et al.

See if the town will co-operate with the North Scituate Beach Improvement Association or other similar association by paying one-half of the cost of furnishing and laying oil upon the gravel roads, unmacadamized, at North Scituate Beach or such other locality as will be designated by any association in which one-half of the cost of furnishing and laying will be paid, or act thereon. ARTICLE 18. See if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of $1500 for the resurfacing of Surfside Road from Beach Street to the end thereof, or act thereon. North Scituate Beach Improvement Association.


ARTICLE 19. See if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of $1000 for macadamizing Beach Street from Bailey's Causeway to the sea wall at land of John B. Damon. North Scituate Beach Improvement Association.


ARTICLE 20. Will the town raise and appropriate the sum of $100 to make a turning space at Glades gate, so called, North Scituate Beach, or act thereon. North Scituate Beach Im- provement Association.


ARTICLE 21. Will the town raise and appropriate the sum of $900 for certain improvements at Humrock Beach, or act thereon. Humrock Beach Improvement Association.


ARTICLE 22. Will the town accept the layout of the Select- men in making North River Avenue from Marshfield Avenue to Brunswick Avenue, at Humrock, a town way and raise and appropriate $200 for the purpose, or act thereon. Selectmen.

Lawson by deed, dated February 27, 1907 and re- corded with Plymouth County Registry of Deeds, Book 965, page 518, and raise and appropriate a sum of money therefor, or act thereon. ARTICLE 34. Will the town raise and appropriate the sum of $500 for the establishment of a free bed in the South Shore Hospital at Marshfield Hills, or act thereon. Selectmen.
