Voted: That the Town raise and appropriate $32,000 for the construc- tion of certain streets to be designated by the Selectmen, and to complete the construction of streets for which funds were appropriated under Ar- ticles 20, 22, and 25 of the warrant for the Town Meeting held March, 1946, and under Articles 13 to 19 inclusive of the warrant for the Town Meeting held March 19, 1947, and to meet said appropriation that the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow $32,000 and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor, pay- able in not more than ten years in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 44, General Laws.

Motion by Howard A. Jones:
That the moderator appoint a committee of five with authority to confer and advise with the Selectmen, and determine the proper means to insure the collection of the just proportion of the Town's expenditure from the abutters of the several streets benefited prior to starting of any additional work on the several streets, and make a complete report at the next annual town meeting of all monies spent on each street, and the amounts contributed by each abutter; said report to be filed with the Town Clerk for public inspection on or before the third Monday in February, 1949.
Amendment by Patrick H. Tenney:
Provided that nothing contained in this motion shall be construed to limit the authority of the Town Treasurer or Board of Selectmen to bor- row the money authorized under this article, nor to limit the authority of the Board of Selectmen to spend said money in accordance with the mo- tion previously passed under this article.
The vote on Mr. Tenney's amendment was in the affirmative.

Voted: That further reading of the warrant, with the exception of the constable's return, be dispensed with.

ARTICLE 1
To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of $2,300.00, from the Excess and Deficiency Account or from other available funds, to cover interest payable on bonds issued during the year 1948 .- Town Treasurer.
On motion by Finance Committee:
Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of $2,300, to be taken from the Excess and Deficiency Account, to provide for interest payable on bonds issued during the year 1948.
ARTICLE 2
To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $568.75 to pay interest due or to become due on water bonds in the year 1948 and pro- vide the money therefor by transfer from Water Department Other Ex- penses 1948 to Water Interest Account .- Water and Sewerage Board.
On motion by Finance Committee :
Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of $568.75 to provide for payment of interest to become due on Water Bonds issued during the year 1948, funds for the same to be provided by transfer from the appropria- tion for the year 1948 for the Water Department for Other Expense.
ARTICLE 3
To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $1,000.00 for use of the Water and Sewer Board and provide the money therefor by transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account or other available funds to Water and Sewer Department's Sewer Connection Account .- Water and Sewerage Board.
On motion by Finance Committee:
Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of $500.00 for the Sewer Department for sewer connections, funds for same to be taken from the Excess and Deficiency Account.
ARTICLE 4
To see if the Town will authorize the Library Trustees to purchase oil burning equipment for the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library, and appro- priate a sufficient sum of money in payment therefor, by transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account or from other available funds .- Trus- tees Lucius Beebe Memorial Library.

Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of $3,825.00 for the School Department for salaries, said sum to be taken from the Excess and De- ficiency Account; and that the Town appropriate the sum of $3,200.00 for the School Department for Other Expenses, of which sum the amount of $1,200.00 be taken from the Excess and Deficiency Account, and the amount of $2,000.00 be provided by transfer from the appropriation for the year 1948 for Trade Schools.
ARTICLE 6
To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $3,000.00 for use of Welfare Department and provide the money therefor by transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account or other available funds to the Welfare Department General Relief Account .- Board of Public Welfare.

Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of $3,000.00 for the Wel- fare Department for General Relief, funds for same to be taken from the Excess and Deficiency Account.
ARTICLE 7
To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $3,500.00 for use of the Welfare Department and the money be provided therefor by transfer from the Excess and Deficiency Account or other available funds to the Welfare Department's Aid to Dependent Children, Recipients Ac- count .- Board of Public Welfare.

ARTICLE 10
To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to sell for a nominal consideration to the owners of the abutting land the parcels of land situated on both corners of Blossom and Perham Streets, being a portion of the premises taken by the Town in the rounding of said cor- ners, said parcel being shown on a plan of land to be recorded with said transfer .- S. Peter Volpe and others.
