I like Wakefield. I have enjoyed the splendid reception given to me by the citizens of the community. Therefore, I wish to express my sincere thanks for the spirit of friendliness and co-operation which has been manifested. It is an inspiration to any individual working for the public. Respectfully submitted,

JOHN B. HENDERSHOT

. Mrs. Marjorie Bunker Dexter is a native of Wakefield and a graduate of the Wakefield High School with the Class of 1910. She received her degree from the College of Liberal Arts, Boston University, in 1914. After teaching in the high schools at Holliston and Concord, Mass., she came to Wakefield in 1924, and taught continuously until her retirement in June of 1951.

Mary K. English has been School Nurse from 1916 to June 1951, at which time she retired. Her basic nursing education was obtained at the Medfield State Hospital and at Dr. Cunningham's private hospital in Cam- bridge. Before coming to Wakefield she was employed in Public Health, Boston District, and with Metropolitan Life Insurance, Malden District.

Thomas Hemsworth retired in June of 1951, after 29 years in the em- ploy of the School Department as a janitor. His work has been at the Lafayette, Hurd and Warren Schools, the last 14 years of this service be- ing at the Warren School.

The above three individuals have given 90 years of their lives to their work for the School Department-Mrs. Dexter 26, Miss English 35 and Mr. Hemsworth 29. The School Department recognizes gratefully their long and conscientious service, and wishes for them a good measure of health and happiness in the years ahead.
