(a) Street Lights.


Voted: That a committee of five be appointed, one each by the chairman of each precinct to . make a survey of the street lighting needs in the town to determine (a) if the present level of

lighting intensity should be increased and where such increases should be made; (b) if additional lights are needed within the town and, if so, at what locations and at what intensities; and (c) in what manner lights should be allocated in the future. Said committee to report their findings at the next Annual Town Meeting.


(b) Tuberculosis Facilities.


Voted: That a committee of three be appointed by the Moderator to study the feasibility of the Town of Fairhaven discontinuing the use of the County Tuberculosis facilities and transferring its patients to Sassaquin Sanatorium, said committee have as one of its members a member of the Board of Health-and to report at the next An- nual Town Meeting.


(c) Elementary School Problem.


Voted : That a committee of seven be appointed, one chairman of each precinct; one from the School Committee and one from the Board of Se- lectmen, to make a survey of the elementary school problems and to determine the need for additional elementary school classrooms in the town and that $3,000.00 be appropriated for the expenses of this committee for investigation and planning. Appointments to be made within 30 days.

(d) Betterment Tax.


Voted : That a committee of three be appointed by the Moderator to study the feasibility of as- sessing a betterment tax for the installation of water mains and make its report at the next An- nual Town Meeting.


(e) Sewer Cost Committee.


Voted : The appointment of a Sewer Cost Com- mittee of five members-one to be appointed by the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen; Chair-

man of the Finance Committee; Chairman of the Sewer and Water Commissioners; Chairman of the Outfall Sewer Committee and one by the Moderator-all appointments to be made within ten days and further move that the Committee be instructed to survey the net long term cost to the town of the several sewer plans that have been prepared for the Town by Fay, Spofford & Thorndike and to report its finding to the next Special or Annual Town Meeting.


(f) Recreational Committee.


Report of the Recreational Committee of its ac- complishments and recommendations was read by Mr. Knox.


Voted unanimously to accept the report of the Recreational Committee and the continuation of of the committee in the present capacity.


Voted: In favor of appointing a committee of five; two by the Recreational Committee, one by the Selectmen; and two by the Sconticut Neck Improvement Association; to survey the proper- ty of Joseph Martin, or any other property, to be used for playground purposes.


(g) Sewerage Committee.


Report of the Sewerage Committee of Expendi- tures and Recommendations was read by Mr. Guilmette.


Unanimously voted to accept the report of the Sewerage Committee and the continuation of the Committee through next year.
