Voted, that the dog fund of $199.01 be appropriated for the use of the public library.


Voted, that the sum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars necessary to buy the seven cap stones of the Sons of Veterans be taken from the general highway appropriation.


Voted, that the Road Commissioners be instructed to purchase a light scraper and the necessary amount be taken from the road appropriation.


Voted, that the Road Commissioners be instructed to con- struct a suitable driveway in front of the Town hall, and that the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars be raised and appro- priated therefor.


Voted, that the thanks of the Town be extended to Mrs. Sarah F. McFarlin for her generous gift of the land on the shore of Sampson's pond as a public parkway.

TOWN WARRANT.


Contents of the warrant for Town Meeting to be held at the Town Hall on Monday, March 6, 1916, at 8 o'clock a. m.


The polls will be opened at 12 m. for the election of officers and will be kept open four hours at least.


Art. 1. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meeting.


Art. 2. To see if the Town will accept the report of the Selectmen, and other town officers and committees.


Art. 3. To choose all necessary town officers not elected by ballot.


Art. 4. To raise and appropriate such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges the ensuing year.


Art. 5. To decide when taxes shall become due.


Art. 6. To see if the town will make the yards of field drivers town pounds, provided they are also chosen pound keepers.


Art. 7. To see if the town will authorize the Selectmen to prosecute, compromise or defend any suits for or against the town.


Art. 8. To see if the town will make an appropriation for Memorial Day.


Art. 9. To see if the town will make an appropriation for a police force or act anything thereon or thereto.


Art. 10. To see what disposition the town will make of the dog fund.


Art. 11. To choose all necessary town officers. The follow- ing officers to be voted for all on one ballot, viz: Town Clerk, three Selectmen, Treasurer, Collector of Taxes, three Overseers of the Poor, two Auditors, one Tree Warden, three Herring Committee men each for one year; one Assessor, one School Committee, one Road Commissioner, one Trustee of the Public

Library, one Park Commissioner, one Cemetery Commissioner each for three years, and to vote by ballot "Yes" or "No," in answer to the following question, "Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town ?"


Art. 12. To see if the town will authorize the Town Treas- urer. with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1st, 1916.


Art. 13. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropri- ate a sum of money for the purpose of continuing the Bitumin- ous Gravel Road from the point where it now ends to the junc- tion of Center and Plymouth streets, or of otherwise improving said highway, provided an allotment is received from the State, and act anything thereon or thereto.


Art. 14. To see if the town will vote to instruct the Select- men to sell the old town house and lot, and act anything thereon or thereto.


Art. 15. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of continuing the gravel road on West Street from the point where it now ends to the junction of Main and Center streets, and act thereon. (By request of Jesse A. Holmes.)


Art. 16. To see if the town will vote to accept the new lay-out as made by the Road Commissioners on the East Head road in April, 1915, and to discontinue the previous lay-out made by said Commissioners on October 15, 1912, and act any- thing thereon or thereto. (By request of the Road Commis- sioners.)


Art. 17. To see if the town will vote to saw a sufficient number of pine trees from the poor farm lot at North Carver into suitable lumber therefor, to build a number of horse sheds on the new town hall lot. and act thereon.


Art. 18. To see if the town will vote to place two copies of the History of Carver in the High School and one in each of the other schools in town, and act thereon. (By request of the School Committee.)

Art. 19. To see what disposition the town will make of the old public documents in the old town hall, and act thereon.


Art. 20. To see if the town will vote to raise and appro- priate the sum of five hundred dollars for the purpose of pur- chasing four small spraying machines suited for protecting cranberry bogs from gypsy moth infestation, and act thereon. (By request of the local Moth Superintendent.)


Art. 21. To see if the town will authorize the local Moth Superintendent to purchase arsenate of lead provided that pur- chased by the State is not satisfactory, or act thereon. (By re- quest of the Gypsy Moth Committee).

The Selectmen recommend that the difference between the OVERDRAFTS and BALANCES on HAND, Dec. 31, 1915, and hereafter all unappropriated incomes to different depart- ments be turned into the Treasury both to be used by the Assessors to reduce taxation ; and that the town make FLAT APPROPRIATIONS for all current expenses, so as to begin each year's work with a clean slate.
