CITY OF WORCESTER, AUDITOR'S OFFICE, March 20th, 1866. To the Honorable City Council :


The Auditor to whom was referred the within Report of George W. Wheeler, Esq., City Treasurer, has carefully ex- amined the same, and finds it correctly cast, to agree with the books and sustained by proper vouchers.


The Treasurer's books appear to have been well kept and are balanced to January 1st, 1866, leaving a cash balance of $13,198,08 in the hands of the Treasurer.


All the papers and vouchers are properly filed in the office, and everything seems to indicate that the Treasurer has dis- charged the duties of his office with fidelity.
