Art. 13. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to give a Quit-Claim Deed of a tract of land situated near and below Agawam Bridge, on the river bank.


Art. 14. To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money for the employment of district nurse under au- thority of Chapter 72, Acts of 1911.


Art. 15. To see if the Town will autohrize its Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow during the current municipal year beginning Jan. 1, 1919 in antici- pation of the revenue for said year, such sums of money as may be necessary for the current expense of the Town.


Art. 16. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate th sum of ten thousand dollars or any portion thereof for the purpose of constructing a permanent pavement on Springfield Street and authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow said sum or any por- tion thereof, or act in any way relating thereto.

Art. 16. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of ten thousand dollars or any portion thereof for the purpose of constructing a permanent pavement on Spring- field Street, and authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow said sum or any portion thereof, or act in any way relating thereto.


Voted: That the Town appropriate the sum of ten thou- sand dollars for the purpose of constructing permanent pave- ment on Springfield Street, and that the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be and is hereby authorized to borrow such sum and issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor, said bonds or notes to be payable in accordance with the provisions of section 14 of Chapter 719 of the Acts of

1913, and Acts in amendment thereof or in addition there- to, so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than five years from the date of issue of the first bond or note, or at such earlier dates as the Treasurer and Selectmen may determine. (Voting in the affirmative, 64; negative, none.)

Special Town Meeting


December 19, 1919


Article 1. To choose a Moderator to preside in said meeting.


Whole number of ballots cast 9, of which John R. Lloyd received 5 and was declared elected.


Art. 2. To see if the Town will take any action for pro- viding for the needs of the Town for additional school room.


Voted: That a committee of six be appointed, three of whom shall be the School Committee, to consider the needs of the Town for additional school room, to procure plans and estimates, and report at the next annual Town Meeting.


Art. 3. To see if the Town will instruct their assessors to increase the valuation of the Town.


Voted: To pass over.


Art. 4. To see if the Town will vote to accept Tower Terrace as recommended by the Selectmen.


This article was ruled out of order.


Art. 5. To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.


Voted: To adjourn.
