Article 62. To see if the Town will amend its Zoning By-Law by altering the Zoning Map therein referred to so as to include in a Business District all of the area on the northerly side of Broadway now in- cluded in a General Resident District, bounded north- erly by a line one hundred and twenty-five (125) feet from and parallel with the northerly side line of Broad- way. Beginning at a corner of the present general resi- dence district as shown by the present Town Zoning Map at a point 400 feet northeasterly or northerly from the northeasterly or northerly side of Summer Street and 200 feet westerly from the westerly side of Mystic Street and extending in a general easterly direction in a line parallel to the northerly line of Summer Street to a point on the westerly line of Mystic Street, thence northerly on the westerly line of Mystic Street to the corner of the present general residence district near Spurcliff Road, thence along the line between the gen- eral residence district and the single residence district as shown upon the Town Zoning Map, westerly, south- westerly, southeasterly and southerly in the order named to the point of beginning; or take any action relating thereto.

hotels in the general residence districts by adding at the end of Paragraph 2 of clause (b) Section 3, the words "apartment house or apartment hotel" so that said paragraph 2 shall read as follows :- 2, Double house, duplex house, two family house or group house consist- ing of three or more contiguous single family houses separated by fire resisting party walls, apartment house or apartment hotel :- or take any action relating thereto.

Article 66. To see if the Town will accept sections twenty-one (21) to twenty-five (25), inclusive, of chapter one hundred and thirty-six (136) of the General Laws, inserted by section 2 of "An Act to Permit Certain Sports and Games on the Lord's Day," approved on November 6, 1928, which said sections contain among others, provisions that it shall be lawful in any town which ac- cepts the said sections, to take part in or witness any athletic outdoor sport or game, except horse racing, auto- mobile racing, boxing or hunting with firearms, on the Lord's day between 2 and 6 P. M .; that such sports or games shall take place on such playgrounds, parks or other places as may be designated in a license issued by certain local licensing authorities ; that no sport or game shall be permitted in a place, other than a public play- ground or park, within one thousand feet of any regular place of worship; that the charging of admission fees or the taking of collections or the receiving of remuneration by any person in charge of or participating in any such sport or game shall not be prohibited; and that the license may be revoked; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 67. To see if the Town will appoint a com- mittee of five to investigate and make recommendations as to the disposal of the Old Town Hall by sale or other- wise, and to report not later than the next annual Town Meeting ; make an appropriation for the use of said com- mittee; or take any action relating thereto.

A notice of the times, places and objects of the meeting was published in the local papers.

In pursuance of the foregoing Warrant the legal voters of the Town of Arlington met in their respective voting places in said Town on Monday, the fourth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hun- dred and twenty-nine, at seven o'clock in the forenoon.

The foregoing officers were sworn to the faithful performance of their duties. The necessary ballots prepared for each precinct and all other parapher- nalia for the proper conduct of the election was sup- plied by the Town Clerk and turned over to the offi- cers of the various precincts.
The polls were declared open in each precinct at seven o'clock in the morning and remained open until eight o'clock in the evening, at which time after due notice they were declared closed.
The ballots were counted by the election officers in each precinct, the tally sheets and total tally sheets prepared by the Town Clerk being used.
The ballots cast, after being counted, were en- closed in envelopes, sealed, signed by the election offi- cers, and encased in wooden boxes, which were locked, and the same were delivered to the Registrars of Voters in the Town Clerk's Office.

ARLINGTON TOWN REPORT
ANNUAL MEETING
Arlington, March 27, 1929.
Pursuant to the Warrant of the Selectmen served according to law upon the inhabitants of the Town by a Constable of said Town, notices having been sent by mail by the Town Clerk seven days before the day of meeting to the Town Meeting Members elected and qualified to act in Town Meetings in Arlington, and posted at two places in each precinct, the Town Meet- ing Members met in the Robbins Memorial Town Hall in said Town on Wednesday, March 27, 1929, at eight o'clock in the evening. The warrant calling the meet- ing was the notice sent by mail by the Town Clerk.
Lists of the duly qualified Town Meeting Mem- bers were used at the entrances of the meeting place and were in charge of Albert K. Peirce and James E. Sweeney. The lists contained the names of two hun- dred and sixty-nine Town Meeting Members.
The Check Lists filed with the Town Clerk at the close of the meeting showed that one hundred and ninety-seven members attended the meeting.
The meeting was called to order at eight o'clock P. M. by the Moderator, Curtis H. Waterman.
The Town Meeting Members were sworn by the Moderator.
Copies of the Warrant having been supplied to the Town Meeting Members, the Town Clerk read only the Call and the Constable's Return of the Warrant, the meeting voting on Luke A. Manning's motion to dispense with the reading of the remainder of the Warrant.

Voted: That if all the business of the meeting as set forth in the Warrant is not disposed of on this date, the meeting adjourn to Wednesday evening, April 3, 1929, at eight o'clock.

Voted : That at 8:27 P. M. the Annual Meeting be recessed until the business of the Special Meeting for 8:30 P. M. is completed ; and that in no event shall the recess of the Annual Meeting extend beyond the time at which such Special Meeting adjourns.

On Motion of Hollis M. Gott:
Voted: That the report of progress of Mr. Warren A. Peirce for the Committee under vote of Town passed April 14, 1927, relative to a community or other build- ing as a World War Memorial and asking that the time be extended for a further report was received.
On motion of Earl A. Ryder :
Voted: That the report of the Committee under vote of the Town passed April 5, 1926, to investigate and consider the matter of additional school accommo- dations be received.
The report is as follows :
"The Committee on Additional School Accommo- dations, appointed in April 1926, made a report of progress in January 1927. At that time we gave a summary of the schools as they existed and endeavored to make clear that the rapid growth of the Town with the material increase in population had practically plugged all of our schools to such an extent that the teachers in almost every department were seriously handicapped in trying to give their best efforts, and the pupils suffered equal hardship under the conditions. Our first recommendation was for a Junior High School at the east end, on property already owned by the Town. This was favorably acted upon, and the build- ing is now in use with an enrolment of 443 pupils. Later we recommended an addition of 12 rooms to the Junior High School at the west end; this also was fa- vorably acted upon, and the entire building now has an enrolment of 668 pupils.
