The Equitable is nine stories high, exclusive of basement, and connects with the Calvert by means of a covered bridge on the seventh floor. The Calvert is twelve stories high, exclusive of basement. Both buildings of absolute fireproof construction.

ELEVATORS

Of improved hydraulic type run day and night every day in the year. Electric light signal de- vice. Each building has a freight elevator, thus preventing annoyance to tenants resulting from carrying packages and boxes on same cars used by passengers. The elevators in each building are in charge of a dispatcher, whose duty is to regulate the starting of each car and take general supervision of this department alone.
