J. H. SCHAAL'S CENTRAL ENTERPRISE FILE WORKS,
NO. I SECOND STREET,
NEAR CENTRE MARKET SPACE,
BALTIMORE.
TO CONSUMERS OF FILES!
I would respectfully solicit the attention and patronage to my price list for SUPERIOR HAND-CUT FILES AND RASPS, HARDENED BY BLAST FIRE AND WATER ; and in doing so will try and explain the general verdict of consumers of Files, that Files are not as good as they used to be. This in most cases is too true, as the Files manufactured in large factories are without re- gard to nature of steel, hurried out by machine, and heated in lead, which is the quickest way, but a deadly enemy to steel; and in their headlong competition regard no law of elements, but looks; and in nine cases out of ten the advertisement of Files " Warranted Hand- Cut," is false.
Now I claim to make as good a File as the best of English Files, and warrant to make Re-cut Files stand equal to new.
Consumers of Files will do well to buy direct from me and save the profits to dealers. Buy a File which will do service, as most of the cheap Files now in the market are almost useless, and most ex- pensive in the long run.
FILES CUT EXPRESSLY for BRASS, IRON, WOOD or STEEL. SAW FILES A SPECIALTY.
(" Parties outside of the City sending Files to be RE-CUT will receive Prompt Attention, and Freight paid one way.
Price List for New and Re-cut Files, &c. Reference sent on Application.
