State of Maine. County of Penobscot, ss. To C. H. Kimball, a constable of the town of Newburg in said County. Greeting :
In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town of Newburg, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to assemble at the Town House in said town of Newburg, on Monday the sixth (6) day of March, 1922, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, to act on the following articles, to wit :
Art. 1. To choose a moderator to preside at said meeting.
Art. 2. To choose a clerk for the ensuing year.
Art. 3. To hear the report of the town officers and act thereon.
Art. 4. To choose selectmen, assessors and overseers of the poor for the ensuing year.
Art. 5. To choose one member of the school committee for three years.
Art. 6. To choose a town treasurer for the ensuing year.
Art. 7. To choose a collector of taxes and agree what per cent & to pay for collecting same.
Art. 8. To choose a town auditor and fire warden and all other necessary town officers for the ensuing year.
Art. 9. To raise money for the support of common schools.
Art. 10. To raise money for support of poor.
Art. 11. To raise money for incidental expenses.
Art. 12. To raise money for roads and bridges.
Art. 13. To raise money for repairs on school houses.
Art. 14. To raise money for school books.
Art. 15. To raise money to pay tuition of pupils attending high schools.
Art. 16. To raise money for abatements.
Art. 17. To see if the town will vote "yes" or "no" on the ques- tion of appropriating and raising money necessary to entitle the town to State aid provided in Section 19 of Chapter 25 of the Public Laws of 1916.
Art. 18. To see if the town will appropriate and raise the sum of $533.00 for the improvement of the section of State aid road as
outlined in the report of the State Highway Commissions, in addi- tion to the amounts regularly raised for the care of ways, highways and bridges, the above amount being the maximum amount which the town is allowed to raise under the provision of Section 18 of Chapter 25 of the Public Laws of 1916.
Art. 19. To see if the town will vote to raise money in addition to the $533.00 raised under Article 18 for State aid highways.
Art. 20. To see if the town will vote to raise money and what sum for the maintenance of State aid highways during the ensuing year within the limits of the town.
Art. 21. To determine the number of road commissioners the town shall have.
Art. 22. To raise money for salaries of superintendent of schools and members of the school committee.
Art. 23. To raise money for Memorial Day expenses.
Art. 24. To see if the town will vote to raise the $250.00 neces- sary to receive the $500.00 promised by the State, to complete the work begun on the Clarence Chapman road in 1921.
Art. 25. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise for repair of the road leading by the Fred Johnston place.
Art. 26. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise for permanent road from end of so called Whitney bog to Carmel line, leading to Hermon Pond.
Art. 27. To see if the town will vote to withdraw from the present School Union if the School Committee should decide that said withdrawal would be for the best interest of the town.
Art. 28. To see if the town will vote to have a school in the Bell school house, on the South road.
Art. 29. To see if the town will vote to buy a light road machine or Road grader.
Art. 30. To see if the town will vote to collect interest on un- paid taxes.
Art. 31. To see what price the town will vote to pay for men and teams for labor on the highways.

State of Maine, County of Penobscot, ss.
To Iva Chapman, a Constable of the town of Newburg, in said County, Greeting:
In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town of Newburg, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to assemble at the Town House in said town of Newburg, on Monday, the twelfth (12) day of March, 1923, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, to act on the following articles, to wit:
Art. 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
Art. 2. To choose a Clerk for the ensuing year.
Art. 3. To hear the Report of the Town Officers and act thereon.
Art. 4. To choose Selectmen, Assessors and Overseers of the Poor for the ensuing year.
Art. 5. To choose one member of the School Committee for three years. 1
Art. 6. To choose a Town Treasurer for the ensuing year.
Art. 7. To choose a Collector of Taxes and agree what per cent. to pay for collecting same.
Art. 8. To choose a Town Auditor and Fire Warden and all other necessary Town Officers for the ensuing year.
Art. 9. To raise money for the Support of Common Schools.

Art. 10. To raise money for Support of Poor.
Art. 11. To raise money for Incidental Expenses.
Art. 12. To raise money for Roads and Bridges.
Art. 13. To raise money for Repairs on Schoolhouses.
Art. 14. To raise money for School Books.
Art. 15. To raise money to pay Tuition of Pupils attending High Schools.
Art. 16. To raise money for Abatements.
Art. 17. To see if the town will vote "Yes" or "No" on the ques- tion of appropriating and raising money necessary to entitle the town to State Aid, as provided in Section 19 of Chapter 25, of the Revised Statutes of 1916.
Art. 18. To see if the town will appropriate and raise the sum of $ for the Improvement of the Section of State-aid Road as outlined in the Report of the State Highway Commission, in addition to the amounts regularly raised for the Care of the Ways, Highways and Bridges; the above amount being the maximum which the town is allowed to raise under the provisions of Section 18, Chap- ter 25, of the Revised Statutes of 1916.
Art. 19. To see if the town will vote to raise money and what sum for the Maintenance of State-aid Highways during the ensuing year within the limits of the town.
Art. 20. To determine the number of Road Commissioners the town shall have.
Art. 21. To raise money for Salaries of Superintendent of Schools and Members of the School Committee.

Art. 22. To raise money for Memorial Day Expenses.
Art. 23. To see if the town will vote to raise the $250.00 necessary to receive the $500.00 promised by the State, to complete the work begun on the Clarence Chapman Road in 1921.
Art. 24. To see what action the town will take, if any, in regard to closing the Road known as the Babcock Road.
Art. 25. To see what action the town will take in regard to letting the Newburg Improvement League having use of the Town Hall for entertainments, etc. for the ensuing year.
Art. 26. To see what action the town will take, if any, in regard to Insuring town property.
Art. 27. To act upon any other Business that may legally come before said meeting.
Given under our hands at Newburg, this 17th day of February, 1923.
