1 " GLEASON, Or GLEISON, or GLEZEN, and (as sometimes written and pronounced) LEESEN." Thomas Gleason early took the oath of fidelity, and is named, in 1657, on Cambridge town-records. He was of Charlestown, in March, 1662, in the occupation of the " tract of land reserved to Squa Sachem." He d. in Cambridge, probably about 1634. By his w. Susanna, he had, in Cambridge, Mary, b. Oct. 31, 1657. His other ch., b. before, were Thomas, Joseph, John. Of these, Thomas, the oldest, belonged to Sudbury in 1665, bought of Benjamin Rice, in the south part of Framingham, was received to Sherburne, Oct. 5, 1678, and d. in Framingham, July 25, 1705.
