Warrant for Town Meeting
State of Maine
County of Somerset, ss.
To Ernest H. Cook, Constable of the Town of Athens, Greeting:
In the name of the State of Maine you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Athens, qualified by law to vote in town affairs to meet and assemble at Wesserunsett Hall in said Athens, on Monday, the sixth day of March, A. D., 1915, at ten o'clock in the forenoon then and there to act on the following articles, to wit:
Art. 1 To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
Art. 2. To choose a town clerk for the ensuing year.
Art. 3 To choose Selectmen, Assessors and Overseers of the poor.
Art. 4 To choose a Town Treasurer.
Art. 5. To choose an Auditor of Accounts.
Art. 6 To choose a Town Agent.
Art. 7 To choose a member of the Superintending School Committee to serve for three years.
Art. 8 To choose Truant Officers.
Art. 9 To choose a Collector of Taxes and fix his com- pensation for collecting the same also to fix the time when the taxes shall become due and collectable.
Art. 10 To choose Constables and all other Town Officers which towns are required by law to choose at their annual March meetings.
Art. 11 To see if the town will appropriate a sum of money to assist the Wesserunsett Valley Fair and if so to fix the amount.
Art. 12. To see if the town will vote to raise $88.31 to pay the interest on the school fund note.

Art. 13 To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise for the support of the common school's the ensuing year.
Art. 14 To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise to repair schoolhouses.
Art. 15 To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise to purchase school books and supplies.
Art. 16 To see if the town will vote to authorize the Super- intending School Committee to make a contract with the trus- tees of Somerset Academy to send all Free High School schol- ars in the town to Somerset Academy during the year, and if so, to see what sum of money the town will vote to raise to pay the tuition of said scholars.
Art. 17 To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise to build and repair Roads and Bridges in town the en- suing year.
Art. 18 To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise for the support of the poor the ensuing year.
Art. 19 To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise to pay the incidental expenses of the town.
Art. 20 To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise for Memorial Day.
Art. 21 To see if the town will vote yes or no on the question of appropriating and raising money necessary to en- title the town to State aid as provided in Section 20 of Chapter 130 of the Public Laws of 1913.
Art. 22 To see if the town will appropriate and raise the sum of $533 for the improvement of the section of State aid road as outlined in the report of the State Highway Commis- sion in addition to the amounts regularly raised for the care of ways, highways and bridges, the above amount being the maximum which the town is allowed to raise under the pro- visions of Section 19 of Chapter 130 of the Public Laws of 1913.
Art. 23 To see whether the town will vote to raise money and what sum, for the maintenance of State and State aid highways during the ensuing year, within the limits of the town under the provisions of Sections 9 and 18 of Chapter 130 of the Public Laws of 1913.

Art. 24 To see what action the town will take in relation to exterminating the Brown Tail Moth and pass all votes neces- sary respecting the same.
Art. 25 To elect one or more fire wards, fix their com- pensation and raise a sum of money for the same.
Art. 26 To see if the town will vote to raise a sum of money to be expended on a crossway between C. S. Leighton's and O. A. Wright's and fix the amount.
Art. 27. To see if the town will vote to light the streets in Athens village with electricity and pass all other votes rela- tive to the same.
Art. 28 To see if the town will vote to maintain any schools in town that have had an average attendance of eight scholars or less than eight scholars the past year.
Art. 29 To see if the town will vote to maintain with the town of Hartland, a union school at the Coston's Corner school house, so called in the town of Athens in accordance with Sec- tion 21 of Chapter 15 of the Public Laws of Maine.
Art. 30 To see if the town will vote to authorize the Se- lectmen to hire money and issue town orders on interest there- on, to pay on orders due and demanded, said money to be first paid and charged to the town treasurer and by him paid on said orders.
You are also required to give notice that the Selectmen will be in session on the said day and at the said place of meeting from nine until ten o'clock in the forenoon for the purpose of correcting the list of voters.
Hereof fail not and make due returns of this warant with your doings thereon at or before the above mentioned day of meeting.
