YOUNG BUSINESS MEN'S CLUB
Organized nearly 10 years ago by a small group of business and professional men, the Young Business Men's Club has played an important role in the growth and expansion of Greater Kan- napolis
Imbued with principles and traditions of a proud city striving to shake off the shackles of a depression, the club immediately of- fered its assistance in the civic improvement and religious growth of Kannapolis.
The idea of an organization founded on fellowship and a pur- pose caught on rapidly and from a small band of organizers the club has expanded into an active membership of 40 young men who have the interest of Kannapolis and its people at heart.
For more than a year the club has been working on a street, marker project which calls for the erection of 1,600 steel markers. The project is one that calls for time, work and expense. It is a project toward which the entire club is devoting its time and ef- forts. It is a project which will effect the entire city and its thou- sands of peoples scattered over a wide area.
So well founded and steeped in traditions in this club of ener- getic young men that it has taken its place among the more sub- stantial organizations of the state.

THIS JEWEL
IS NOT FOR SALE!
Good name in man or woman, Mr. Shakespeare's Iago said, is the immediate jewel of their souls.
Back of every business success, back of the smallest product that contributes to that success, is an enduring good name. This is a jewel that is never for sale.
Advertising cannot make a bad name good. Nor should it try! But advertising can carry a good name to a rich and just reward. In fact, advertising is the voice of the good name. Through advertising, the good name is able to make the promises that men live by.
The Daily Independent is proud of the good names in its advertising columns. You will find nothing but good names here.
