Report of School Board

During the last year our town has maintained two schools of three terms each, averaging ten weeks per term, making a total of 30 weeks for each school.

Having visited the schools during each term as well as at the closing exercises we are sure that much good work has been accomplished. One new feature in the village school was a daily lesson in music during the school year given by the local teacher.

Under the direction of H. S. Morgan, the village schoolroom has been newly finished with a hardwood floor, ceiling overhead, walls painted and new seats and desks added.

There were quite a number of interested visitors at the close of the winter term at the village, but it was a disappointment not to see the parents, not one being pres- ent.

Parents, visit your children's school, become acquain- ted with the teacher, her methods, her work, her patience, encourage your children to be on time every day if pos- sible, then to do their best. With your sympathy and support, you will be sure of much better results.

Library Trustees' Report

Time has borne us swiftly on. Another milestone has been reached and we find it is time for us to again make our annual report of the Hebron town library. We have had a prosperous year. The library which was at first considered a luxury, has become a necessity to the people ..

The teachers and pupils of our public schools have found the library valuable as a source of information on subjects connected with their school work.

This year Mrs. Dauchy of Lansingburg, N. Y., presented us with a number of books.

At Christmas we were very generously remembered by Miss Clara C. Pierce of Reading, Mass., with the sum of $25. With this we purchased a set of Stoddard's Lec- tures.

As will be seen by the librarian's report the library has been open every Saturday afternoon.
