LIBRARIAN'S REPORT FOR YEAR ENDING FEBRUARY 15, 1915.


The Griffin Free Public Library has been open Satur- day afternoons, with the exception of May 30 and July 4, during the year.


Number of books issued. 2,150


Smallest number for one day, June 7. 13


Largest number for one day, December 5. 63


An unusually large number of magazines were also issued. Eighty-two books have been added by purchase and gift.


Magazines by subscription 1915: Ladies' Home Journal, Delineator, Saturday Evening Post, Youths Companion and Popular Mechanics.


The following gifts have been received for the library : $4 for books for Carrie McDuffee memorial, Miss Emma McDuffee; $1, Mrs. Calef, Washington, D. C .; geograph- ical magazines, Dr. A. J. To the Inhabitants of the Town of Auburn, in said County,


qualified to vote in Town Affairs:


You are hereby notified to meet at Grange Hall, in said town, on Tuesday, the ninth day of March next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, to act upon the following subjects :


First. To choose by ballot and major vote a town clerk.


Second. To choose by ballot and major vote three selectmen, town treasurer, highway agent, one library trus- tee for three years, and one cemetery trustee for three years.


Third. To choose all other necessary town officers for the ensuing year.


Fourth. To raise money to defray town charges for the ensuing year and appropriate the same.


Fifth. To see if the town will vote to incur debts for temporary loans in anticipation of taxes for the year 1915.


Sixth. To see what sum of money the town will raise in addition to the amount required by law for the repair of highways and appropriate the same.


Seventh. To see if the town will raise, appropriate, and set apart an additional sum equal to fifty per cent of the amount required by Section 3, Chapter 35, Laws of 1905, relating to State Highways.


Eighth. To see if the town will vote to pay all the election officers at biennial elections.

Ninth. To see if the town will vote to purchase a horse road roller and raise and appropriate money for the same.


Tenth. To see if the town will vote to have the words "Founded by Sebastian S. Griffin" appended to the sign now on the Griffin Museum and Library.


Eleventh. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of $100 for maintenance of Trunk Line Road.


Twelfth. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of $135 for maintenance of State Aid Road.


Thirteenth. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the whole or a part of the sum of $4,608.00 as the town's share towards building Trunk Line Road in town.


Fourteenth. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the planting, preservation, care, and improvement of roadside growth in accordance with Chapter 98, Laws of 1901, and amendments thereto.


Fifteenth. To see what sum of money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the suppression of brown- tail and gypsy moths.


Sixteenth. To see what action if any the town wishes to take in regard to Chapter 19, Laws of 1913, relating to bridges.


Seventeenth. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money sufficient to provide public patriotic exercises for Memorial Day, and choose a com- mittee to expend the same.


Eighteenth. To see what action the town will take in regard to raising and appropriating money for the vil- lage cemetery, also to see what action the town will take regarding the changing of the by-laws governing said ceme- tery.


Nineteenth. To see if the town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money sufficient for the proper observance of "Old Home Day" in Auburn.

Twentieth. To transact any other business that may legally come before the meeting.

You are hereby notified to meet at Grange Hall, in said dis- trict on Saturday, the thirteenth day of March, at one o'clock in the afternoon, to act on the following subjects:


First. To choose a moderator for the ensuing year.


Second. To choose a clerk for the ensuing year.


Third. To choose a member of the School Board for three years.


Fourth. To choose a treasurer for the ensuing year.


Fifth. To choose an auditor for the ensuing year.


Sixth. To see what sum of money the district will vote to raise for the support of schools in addition to that required by law.
