REPORT OF LEASED LAND AGENT.
At our last annual meeting, in March, 1917, it was voted to have our Register of Deeds, William J. Ran- dolph, ascertain if possible the present holders, and the location of the different leased school lots in the town.
Mr. Randolph went into the matter very thor- oughly, and made his report before the Board of Se- lectmen and myself.
He found that the leased lots were held and locat- ed as follows :
Lot No. 7, Florence L. Brown and Walter H. Brown, formerly the Albert Hall place.
Lot No. 36, Div. 4, Publishers Paper Co.
Lot No. 70, John M. Pulsifer.
Lot No. 20, Range 6, Div. 3, International Paper Company.
Fifty acres south of lot No. 70, Fred P. Hill and Emma L. Allen, formerly the George Wallace and Har- ry Leavitt places.
Lot No. 41, George E. and John M. Pulsifer.
One-half of lot No. 8, Publishers Paper Co.
One-half of lot No. 8, Charles W. Pulsifer.
Lease money is paid by three of the above parties, and it was decided that no lease money could be cel- lected from the others.
Mr. Randolph's abstracts are at the clerk's office, and can be seen at any time by those interested.
GEORGE D. PATTEE, Agent.

REPORT OF SCHOOL BOARD.
The school board has endeavored to provide our schools with the best teachers obtainable, and to pro- vide the children with the most approved school books and supplies.
In regard to repairs, the inside of the school room in district No. 1 has been sheathed and put in first- class condition. A new out-house has been built in district No. 9. The majority of the school rooms are now provided with modern seats and natural slate blackboards.
Owing to the necessity of providing school facili- ties at Beebe River, the school house in the so-called "Bump" district was moved down on what was for- merly the Sanborn farm, and has been put in good re- pair, and will be ready for occupancy this spring term of school.
An amendment to the public statutes makes it obligatory for school districts to end their fiscal as well as their scholastic year, August 31, 1918, therefore we must have sufficient appropriations made at this March school meeting to last the district until August, 1919.
The treasurer will not have her account against the district audited until next August, unless a new treasurer is chosen (at our March meeting), when they will be audited at that time.
GEORGE D. PATTEE, CLARA J. PULSIFER, L. RIDDEL MORRISON,
School Board.
