GENTLEMEN :
The library contains 4,190 volumes, exclusive of Government and State Reports.
One hundred and twenty-eight volumes have been added by - purchase, 6 by bound magazines, 3 by the Rand fund, 25 by the Eastman fund, and 15 by gift. From the Government, 2, from the State, 11. Seventy-six books have been rebound and 6 volumes of magazines bound.

A colored photograph of the mural painting, " Philosophy," by Puvis de Chavannes, in the Boston Public Library, has been purchased by the Lisbon Village Library Association and hung in the library.
The most notable non-fiction added during the year is the Stoddard Lectures, 15 volumes, Photographic History of the Civil War, 10 volumes, purchased by the Eastman fund, and 15 volumes on Socialism, by the Rand fund.
