It is not known to the Board of Education that there are any children between 16 and 21, unable to read and write, although there may be some unable to read and write the English language.

The law requires the school board to include in their report, the number of scholars attending to each study, we find, on examination of the registers, that the blank space for the teachers to make this report for their several schools, was left out, and that no report is given. Consequently, the school board are unable to make any report concerning this matter.
