Killed January 31, at the Battle of Minas, Grand Pré, Nova Scotia, by a musket ball which entered his forehead, while leading a de- tachment of five hundred men. His eldest son, Lieutenant James Noble, died of fever at Louis- burg, 1746, aged 18. His brother, Francis Noble, was also killed at the Battle of Minas.
