THE MINISTRY AND CHURCHES OF NEW-HAMPSHIRE.
This unique book is a reprint from The Congregational Quarterly of the three articles prepared by Rev. Henry A. Hazen, of Billerica, Mass., the most of whose ministerial life has been spent in New-Hampshire.
Part I. Gives the name of every town in the State, arranged alphabet- ically, the date of its charter, its population, the date when every Congre- gational or Presbyterian church was organized, the name of every minis- ter, indicating whether he was ordained or installed, or only a stated supply, the date of his settlement, and the length of his service.
Part II. Gives the name of every minister who ever served in the State, arranged alphabetically, the place and date of his birth, the college by which he was graduated, the date of his graduation, the name of the Theological Seminary where he was educated, the date of his completion of his course, or the name of the person with whom he studied, if he pursued a private course, the date of his ordination, the places in the State where he served as a minister. In case of death, the date of that event, or the age of the person.
The Supplement gives interesting and curious statistical summaries.
It is safe to say that the book gives more personal and ecclesiastical history than can be found in the same space in any other book that ever was printed.
Every church in the state should have a copy for the use of its clerk. Every minister and every intelligent layman may well consider it a priv- ilege to secure a copy.
The price of the book is $1.50. To any person who sends this sum to The Congregational Quarterly, Congregational House, Boston, Mass., a copy of this book will be sent by mail.
C. CUSHING, Editor.
The copy of this pamphlet addressed to the church by which it is received should be filed among the papers of the church and preserved for future reference
