Fred R. Parker, local contractor, is declared to have broken all build- ing speed records in this vicinity in connection with the improvements to the office building of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, South Clinton Avenue, which was damaged by fire.
At 8:30 o'clock the derrick was placed and then commenced the re- moval of the entire roof. The new roof was completed and water-proof at 5 o'clock the following afternoon, just 18 working hours having elapsed. The roof is known as a four-hip one, 60 by 70 feet.
