ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS.

BLOOMINGDALE, Passaic County, is a flourishing village, situated in the valley of the Pequonnock, about 9 miles from Paterson. It contains 1 Methodist and 1 Baptist Church, an Academy, 5 Stores, 1 Forge, 1 Tannery, 2 Blacksmith and Wagon Makers, 3 Saw Mills, 1 Woolen Mill, 4 Grist Mills, 1 Paper Mill and 2 Taverns.

Errors and Omissions .- It is stated in a recent communication to the compilers, that the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, (see page 346,) was founded about the year 1692, by Scotch Emigrants, who were cast away upon the shores of Mon- mouth. Their first edifice, known as "the Scotch meeting house," the ruins of which are still to be seen, stood near the site of the present edifice, which last was erected about the year 1734. Their first clergyman is supposed to have been a Scotch divine, who accompanied the colony from Scotland. The present pastor is the Rev. Luther H. Van Doren.

Page 292. The map of Trenton in 1776, is from Wilkinson's Memoirs. It is not strictly accurate, although perhaps sufficiently so for general purposes. Page 328. There is a Bank at Dover.
