The Officers and Directors of the Hudson County Mutual Insurance Company congratulate the members of the Corporation on the success which has attended the Company during the past year.
By comparing the report for the present year with former reports, it will be perceived that the Company is largely advancing in strength and power, and its history thus far proves that the insured saves at least two-thirds of the premium paid in cash to Stock Companies, while, at the same time, it has paid nearly Fifty Thousand Dollars in losses, and has accumulated a large cash surplus.
The Increase of Fremiums over the Last Year alone is over Seventy-Six per cent.
It has been the single object of the Board so to manage the affairs of the Company as to com- mand the confidence of the public, and make it as reliable and economical an institution to effect insurance in as can be found in the United States.
Policies are issued both on the joint stock and mutual plan of Insurance, thus affording to the public the advantage of either system at their option, in the same institution.
Pamphlets issued June, 1858, containing an abstract of the business of the Company since its organization, and illustrating its mode of business, may be obtained at the Office of the Company, or by mail pre-paid.
