Overview of Albany County Records

  • Albany County was created in 1683 and was an original county for the state of New York.
  • The New York State Department of Health has copies of birth, marriage, and death records starting in 1880 to the present for records outside of the city of Albany. Individual town or city clerks also have copies of birth, marriage, and death records.
