This Institution is organized in three departments : PRIMARY, JUNIOR, and SENIOR. The course of study in each is planned with special reference to a solid, useful, and symmetrical education.


The studies of the Primary Department are strictly elementary.


The Junior Department comprises the studies of a substantial English Educa- tion, preparatory to the higher Scientific, and Belles Lettres, course of the Senior Department.


The Senior Department embraces a thorough course of Mathematics, Natural' Mental, and Moral Philosophy, and Belles Lettres.


The classification in each department is determined by proficiency, rather than age.


The course of instruction is essentially the same as that pursued at the Mt. Hol- yoke Seminary, the p incipal being a graduate of that Institution.


The aim of the Principals will be to conduct their Pupils through a systematic course of studies, affording at the same time, a progressive knowledge, and a pro- gressive discip line of the mind. Stric. regard will be paid to Morals, Principles, and Manners. The loc tion is pleasant, retired, and salubrious. The Academic Year consists of four terms of eleven weeks each, commencing on the firet Wednes- day in September, and closing in July.


TERMS FOR BOARDERS,


The entire English course, with board, including fuel, lights, and Washing, $200 per annum, payable quarterly in advance. The pupils are expected to be fur- nished with towels, table napkins, silver fork, desert and tea spoon. Every arti- ele of clothing should be distinctly marked.
