Incorporated by the Legislature of the State of New-York, 8th of April, 1824, Capital $200,000, for the sole purpose of LENDING MONEY on deposites of Goods and Chattels.


This Association continues to make liberal advances on all Articles of Merchandise, Plate, Watches, Jew- ellery, Trinkets, &c. in sums of one dollar and upwards ; thereby affording great facilities to Merchants, Traders, and Shopkeepers, residents of the city, and also to Strangers and Travellers, who, by misfortune or acci- dent, may require present relief.


THE RATES OF INTEREST CHARGED ARE FIXED BY LAW AS FOLLOWS :


Loans of 50 dollars and under, 15 per cent. per ann. 50 do to 100, 123 do. do.
