AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS, CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. Our Stock Embraces
Self-Sharpening and Lever Feed Cutters, Premium Eagle and Right Hand Corn Shellers, Side-Hill, Stubble, Stony Land, Green Sward, "Lion," and Sub Soil Plows; Harrows, Cultivators, Road Scrapers, &c.
We have manufactured the Self-Sharpening Feed Cutter for the past fourteen years, aud in that time have made and sold over twenty-six thousand machines. It has still a growing reputation, and is the most durable and efficient IIay, Straw, or Corn Stalk Cutter in use. It received the first premium from the New England Agricultural Society, at their Exhibition at Springfield, Mass., in Sep- tember, 1864, and also at their Exhibition at Concord, N. H., in 1865, both as a Hay and Straw Cutter, and also as a Corn Stalk Cutter, competing with many of the most approved Feed Cutters in the market.
Our Plows are of various sizes and patterns, and are adapted to all soils and grades of plowing. We use the best materials, and aim to give our Plows as high a standing as any in the market.
We make an IMPROVED style of the old and well known "Clinton " Corn Sheller. We invite particular attention to our Right Hand Sheller. It is highly approved by all who have used it.
We offer among other novelties of recent invention, the " Telegraph " Meat Cutter, and " Express " Sausage Filler Also, the " Conical" Plow, which is doubtless the best form of Plow for completely turning a furrow, that has ever yet been made. It received the first premium at over twenty New England County Fairs the present (1866) season. Also, a new Feed Cutter, called the "Cylinder Shear and Lock " Feed Cutter, constructed with two Cylinders, to one of which are attached Knives operating on the Shear-cutting principal. It is durable, has a quick and simple arrangement for adjusting the knives, cuts fast, and with little power. It has a lock attached to prevent accidents to children when the machine is not in use. It received the First premium over all others at the New England Fair at Brattleboro, Vt., the present season (1866).

These Frictions sup- pły a want which can- not be supplied by any other arrangement in so perfect a manner, i. e., a device for starting and stopping machines without sudden shock ; on many machines it is very important to start them gently. They op- erate without any noise or jar whatever, there- by making more dura- ble any machine to which they are attach- ed. By their use 50 per cent of Belting will be Saved, for there is no wearing the edges of the belt, as there is, where the belt is constantly shipped from one pulley to an- other.
They require only half as wide face to driving Pulley, on the main line, as does a tight and loose pulley.
These and other ad- vantages which will readily be seen by any mechanic, should in- duce Manufacturers to give these pulleys pre- ference over all other arrangements for ope- rating their machinery Your patronage is son- cited.

D. W. SEELEY'S AMERICAN BRICK MACHINE G
Patented May 8th, 1866.
First Premium at N. York State Fair and the Albany Co. Fair, Sept., 1866.
I OFFER this Machine to Brick Makers as contain- ing everything most desirable, and ask an examina- tion of the advantages it possesses over all others in the market.
1st. It will make from 2,000 to 3,000 superior brick per hour, with a pair of horses.
2d. It grinds the clay fine, presses the molds full and delivers them on the table ready to carry off.
3d. The pressure on the brick is made greater or less by simply moving a pin, and the machine can keep grinding without molding ; so it is not necessary to stop the machine if the molds are not ready.
4th. It has a horizontal grinding shaft, conse- quently the machine is made much lower than any with an upright one, being only about four feet high and easy to fill.
5th. It is run by a horse power (two bevel wheels and sweep), separate from the machine, and the team is not in the way of filling it or of the brick carriers, as is the case of all upright machines run by horse power.
1846
PATENTEDEG
N.FERGUSON.ALBANY.
6th. The grinding shaft revolves three times while the horses go once around with the sweep, making three molds of briek (containing six' bricks to a mold), to every revolution of the team, and one revolution of the grinding shaft to every mold of briek ; consequently, it gives three times the grinding of any other horse power machine. As the grinding shaft of all upright machines driven by horse power only moves once around to each revolu - tion of the team, and if they make three molds of briek to a revolution the grinding shaft only turns one-third of the way around to a mold of briek; as a consequence, the clay is not more than half ground, and the brick is imperfect or inferior.
7th. It is easily moved, and the end of the machine can be placed close to the clay bank, as the team is not in the way.
8th. The pressure is retained on the brick by means of a cam, while the molds are pushed out on the table, thus preventing the brick from being drawn up in the molds as is the case with most other machines. -
9th. As a Power Machine (which this out represents), it has no superior, requiring but & small power to run it. A perfect machine, all complete, thoroughly grinding the clay and pressing it in the molds, and delivering them on the tables as fast as the brick can be taken care of.
10th. This is a superior machine for manufacturing Peat for fuel. It has been thoroughly tested, and is in use for that purpose.

KINNERSLEY-JOURSON,
ALBANY AGRICULTURAL WORKS, HORACE L. EMERY & SON, PROPRIETORS AND MANAGERS, Hamilton Street, cor. of Union and Liberty Streets, ALBANY, NEW YORK.
THE above Celebrated Works were originated and erected during the years 1847, '48 and '49, by the present senior proprietor, who has, almost without interruption, been connected with them as the principal manager, and since 1855, in connection with his junior brothers, under the style of Emery Broth- ers. During the summer of 1862 he attended the WORLD'S FAIR AT LONDON, with some of his leading inventions, and remained abroad nearly two years, engaged in establishing their manufacture. On his return from England, in the early part of 1864, the present senior proprietor purchased the entire interest, real and personal in and to these works, including its entire accumulation of patterns, working machinery and its business, and continues the same. He has since associated with him his eldest son, HORACE H.ER- BERT EMERY, under the style and name at the head of this notice, and continues the business, in all' its branches, at the OLD STAND, than which no more complete establishment of its kind exists in the coun- try. They have largely increased their facilities, made many new and valuable additions and impro ve- ments to their already large assortment of machines, which their experience and observation, at home :And abroad, have suggested as desirable.
