GAS WORKS.

C. R. WOODWORTH & CO.,

MANUFACTURERS OF PORTABLE GAS Works, No. 74 Wall street, New York, and at Yonkers, N. Y.

This Company is prepared to construct Gas Works of any capacity, from that required for a Private Dwelling, Hotel, Factory or Church, to such as will supply a. Town or Village. The extreme simplicity of these works, their economy and perfect safety, re- commend them to the public as well worthy of atten- tion.

The material used for manufacturing the Gas, is a cheap Oil, made from Rosin, supplied at twenty cents per Gallon, and yields more, and richer, and purer Gas, than any other known substance. Each gallon of oil will produce over one hundred cubic feet of Gas, which is more than equal to two hundred feet of Coal Gas. The space required for a complete ap- paratus for family use, is 10×12 feet, and is put up or the premises for $350. Larger apparatns put up at proportionate prices. Any other information may

at any time be had, by application to the Office of the Company, in person or by letter, accompanied al- ways by a statement of the number of burners re- quired, and the length of time they will be burning. This invention is no longer a matter of experiment ; its practical utility & peculi r adaptation to the wants of those residing beyond the limits of City Gas, has been for more than two years tested, within, and in the immediate vicinity of our own City, and in all the principal cities in New York and Pennsylvania. Office of the Company, 74 WALL STREET.
