WILSON'S STREET AND AVENUE DIRECTORY
OF THE
CITY OF NEW YORK. Corrected May 1, 1876.
Entered according to act of Congress, in the Year 1876, by THE TROW CITY DIRECTORY CO., In the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington.
EXPLANATION.
IF you wish to find the location of any dwelling-house or store,-for instance, No. 80 ALLEN Street,-on consulting the Street Directory (see ALLEN) you will observe that 66 Allen is on the right-hand of that street and on the corner of Grand, and 86 Allen is on the right-hand corner of Broome, hence the desired number, 80 Allen, will be on the right-hand side of Allen Street, between Grand and Broome.
Or. suppose you are going np Broadway, and wish to take a cross street, so as to call at 236 Hud- son Street, on examination (see HUDSON) of the corner numbers in Hudson Street, you will observe that 230 Hudson Street is on the corner of Broome : hence by passing from Broadway, through Broome Street to Hudson, you are near to the desired number 236.
