ntroductory Note.
IN presenting the eighth edition of the TOLEDO BLUE BOOK to the people of
Toledo and vicinity, we desire to ex- tend our gratitude to all who have assisted the publishers in the compilation of this work; and to assure the public that we have aimed to keep it thoroughly up-to-date as a reference book for all who have an interest in the social development of the territory covered. The rapid growth of Toledo has been accompanied by corres- ponding growth to near-by cities, and the great development of the inter-urban elec- tric railway system has brought an ever increasing territory into closer and closer social communion. This has necessitated a more comprehensive work than hereto- fore, and we feel confident that all inter- ested will appreciate our efforts.
We have only solicited advertisements from such reputable houses as we would feel free to recommend to our patrons, and we trust that their assistance in producing the TOLEDO BLUE BOOK will meet with proper appreciation.
The publishers will be glad at any time to receive suggestions from any of our pa- trons, that may lead to an improvement of this directory, for it shall be our aim to make it cover the ground thoroughly, and be as valuable a reference as possible.
