The Ohio Society of the American Revolution, " Toledo Branch."


The Ursula Walcott Chapter was organized January 12, 1895, with Mrs. A. Howard Hinkle, State Regent of Ohio, D. A. R., present. This occurred at the residence of Mrs. W. H. H. Smith, who had been appointed a year before Regent to form a Chapter. The same day a reception was given by Mrs. Smith to Mrs. Hinkle and the new Chapter, at which every member was present, and listened to a delightful address by the State Regent. On March 9, 1895, the first election was held, at which time Mrs. Smith was elected Regent, previously acting by appointment from Washington, and Miss Maria Waite, Secretary.
