SPECIALTY MADE & CAR COAL

TO DEALERS.

THE OHIO & PENNSYLVANIA

COAL COMPANY

ARE MINERS AND SHIPPERS OF

Steubenville, Walnut Hill, [Pitts burgh Coal Seam,] Columbiana, Brier Hill, XX Shawnee and Blossburgh.

These Coals have been in use for several years, by many of the Principal Railroads, for Locomotives, and by large Manufacturing Works, for Steam Rolling Mill and Forge Pur- poses, with entire satisfaction.

In the "Table of Heating Power of Fuels," Report of Geological Survey of Ohio, the heating power or intensity of heat of Coals tested is given as follows :

Pure Charcoal, 100.

Columbiana Coal,

99.7

Steubenville, - -

97.6

Brier Hill, -

-

96.8

XX Shawnee or Straitsville, 94.8

Our Walnut Hill, in addition to its superior qualities for Steam and Rolling Mill purposes, excels nearly all the Coals of Ohio, in being less broken up by hand- ling in the process of shipping.

We make a Superior Nut Coal, it being double screened at the mines. We also make a Pea Coal which is now being used extensively for Steam and Smithing purposes, and is the product of the purest coal in the mines.

We have facilities for producing and shipping by Rail or Lake in large quan- tities. Consumers of Coal, especially those who consume largely, will find it to their interest to examine into the character and work performed by these Coals.

We can upon application give references as to their practical value for the pur- poses named, also facts and figures showing the economy of their use.
