This Court has original jurisdiction in civil suits in the City and County of Philadelphia, in which the amount in controversy or damages claimed execed 8100. Its sessions are held quarterly on the 1st Mondays of March, June, September and December.

All appeals from, and certioraris to, the judgments of the Aldermen of the City and County of Philadel- phia, are cognizable by this Court alone. It has also, in the exercise of its various powers, original juris- dietion as a Court of Chancery, a Court of Oyer and Terminer, General Jail Delivery and Quarter Ses- sions, and Insolvent Court and an Orphans' Court. In the discharge of these duties, it holds quarterly ses- sions as a Court of Common P'leas on the 1st Mondays
!of March, June, and December, and the 3d Monday of September.
For the dispatch of business in the Orphans' Court, it sits on the 2d and 4th Fridays of each month.
For the trial of Criminal Cases, it holds bi-monthly sessions, commencing on the 1st Mondays in February, April, June, August, October, and December,
Stated days are fixed in the " Order of Business" in each term of the Common Pleas for the hearing of Road cases, Certioraris, cases in Equity, and Feigned Issues, to determine the validity of disputed wills, &c.
