THE MODEL.

The Model! What is it, kind friends, don't you know? Why it's Walker's big, palatial store, Where the odors as sweet as the flowers in June, And the genial proprietor goes in for a boom. All grades of tobacco are sold in his place, Where visitors are treated with such gentlemanly grace. The Model is one of the finest in town, The goods are all pure, first-class and sound. To visit his place you'd never regret, His goods are all dry, he sells nothing wet.

I noticed to day a Scriptural passage which infers that some day the world would be as an oven, and we like stubble, and have heard that the smoke would arise from thy torments, which would certainly be exceedingly unpleasant. And I suppose that the fumes would not be odoriferous, but the fumes which arises from Walker's cigars are decidedly agreeable. In fact, to smell one of his cigars causes us to im- mediately think of Havana, and his smoking tobacco wafts our imagination straight on to the Turkish Empire.

- The name of his establishment, (The Model) is certainly an appropriate one. Cigars from one cent to one dollar, so the poor as well as the millionaire can be satisfied. His pipes from a penny apiece to fifty dollars indicate a wonder- ful variety and quality.

Mr. Walker smokes constantly, (all great men do), and his store always smells as sweet as the flowers of June.

There is more than one kind of fire in "The Model." There is burning tobacco and poetical fire and imagination, and there is much warmth of human kindness in the pro- prietor's heart, and I hope he may continue to sell and con- tinue to prosper and breathe the pure Havana smoke.

NIL DESPERANDUM.

J. L. WALKER, 326 S. Main St., BUTLER, PA.
