TUBULAR KEROSENE LANTERN.
OUR "Tubular " Kerosene Lantern is entirely unlike all other Kerosene Lanterns in use. It is new in principle, and free from ALL the objections which hitherto have made Kerosene Lanterns so unpleasant and dangerous. By the aid of the bell over the globe, and the tubes leading tlierefrom to the burner, the flame is supplied with a strong blast of air, which renders the combustion com- plete, giving a pure white light free from smoke and smell, like that of a chimney lamp, and also imparting to the flame great power to endure wind and motion.
But a still greater advantage in this Lantern is the fact that the oil cup never heats or takes fire, there being two strong currents of cool air between the oil and flame. Also, the singular principle on which the Lantern is constructed prevents all over burning, and like a "governor" on a steam engine, it shuts off the flame the instant it becomes too high or too hot. On this account the Lantern has attracted great attention among Scientific men, Insurance agents and Lantern experts. It is very simple in construc- tion, very firm and durable; will, in every way, be satisfac- tory to the consumer, and affords a better margin to the Trade than any other Lantern in the market. It is sold by all the Jobbers at our lowest rates.
Chicago Manufacturing Co., 43 & 45 Franklin Street.
P. S .-- We still manufacture our cele- brated Champion Lanterns, for Lard and Whale Oil, in silver, brass and tin.
