The "Old First" Virginia Infantry.
The "Old First" Virginia Infantry Asso- ciation was organized the roth of April, 1874. Its objects are to revive the friendships and memories of army life, to visit and relieve members in distress, and to compile a history of the regiment. The Secretary of the Association will be glad to receive any information as to facts in connection with the old regi- ment; also, any relics or mementoes as- sociated therewith, and in particular, likenesses of deceased members.

This institution, presided over by Mother Victoria, Mother of the Order of the Little Sisters of the Poor in this city, assisted by five Sisters, is intended as a home for poor, destitute, aged persons, irrespective of sex or religious creeds. It was incorporated April, 17, 1874, hav- ing been established by the generous charity of the late W. Shakespear Cald- well. The institution is supported en- tirely by donations of the public.
