HE design of this School is to prepare its students for the practical duties of life. Since its organization in 1863, it has qualified a very large number of persons for a prosperous ca- reer in business pursuits. Its successful work may well entitle it to be ranked as
THE MODEL COMMERCIAL SCHOOL.

ACTUAL BUSINESS TRAINING.
Our system of Actual Business Training, combining Theory and Practice, is at once so sini- ple and natural that it needs only an examination of its merits to convince the most skeptical of its superiority over all other systems. No person of ordinary intelligence and application can go through such a course of training without becoming a thorough and practical accountant. Many of the most successful and influential business and professional men of the City and Coast may be numbered among our graduates.
LIFE SCHOLARSHIP, $75.
This is the only Business College in the State that issues Life Scholarships. As carried out at this Institution, they offer many advantages. A Life Scholarship entitles the holder to instruc- tion in all the branches of the Full Business Course, as given in the "COLLEGE REVIEW," until he graduates, with the privilege of review whenever it may suit his convenience. We also issue Six Months' Scholarships for any or all the studies of the College at very reasonable rates. Students may pay by the month if they so desire.
INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION.
Individual instruction is given in all departments of the College. In the Business Course the class system is entirely discarded, except for lectures, general reviews, and practical exercises on the black-board. Thus each student receives all the advantages of private instruction, and is enabled to advance as rapidly as his ability and application will permit.
THE COLLEGE HALLS.
In all respects we have the finest school-rooms on this Const. They are large, well ven- tilated, elegantly furnished, and command a splendid view of the City and its environs. Every apartment has a sunny exposure, an 1 is flooded with light and with fresh, pure air. The ceilings are sixteen and a half feet in height; and the several rooms have thirty large windows, furnished with inside blinds
