The School is open daily (Saturdays excepted) from 3 to 5 P. M., and from 7 to 10 P. M., for the instruction of pupils in all branches of Navigation. The course is thorough and will enable those taking it to obtain Certificates of competency as required by the U. S. Shipping Act. Masters and mates of vessels will find this School specially adapted to fit them for passing the examination made necessary by the aaid Act.


The use of nautical instruments, as the Chronometer, Compass, Sextant, Azimuth, etc., practically taught and illustrated. Instruments and books (including McNevin's Works ou Navigation and Marine Laws, etc.), can be procured at this school.
