SPENCER'S CORNERS BURYING GROUND.

A short distance north-east of Millerton is the old Cemetery of Spencer's Corners. The church to which it belonged, and of which not a vestige remains, was formed by Simon Dakin in 1751. This church was the stronghold of the Baptists in Amenia, and one of the most important in the New York Colony.

This burying ground is in good order and well cared for by the peo- ple of Millerton.
